Great campground right across the highway from the lake. It is very peaceful and quiet in the evenings. There is also a public pool for the campers.

Unfortunately, the worst drawback to this RV park is that the main road is between the Park and the Lake. See if you can request a spot as far from the road as possible. There has been constant work on the grounds, the trenching of wires, new street lights and an entirely newly revamped picknick area across the street on the lake. There they have the rentals of kayaks and ski-doos, a food shack, a launch for boats, grassy lawns with picnic tables and a large stadium type cement stairway which provides seating with perfect views of the fireworks held semi-annually. The location is also within walking distance of an ice-skating rink, a warm swimming pool and other recreation opportunities. This RV park is rather in the middle of South Lake Tahoe, so either way you go, there are grocery stores, souvenier stores, Starbucks, Red Huts (our favorite breakfast places) and big discount stores.

I THOUGHT IT WAS A SANDY BEACH, RIGHT BY THE LAKE, I WAS WRONG!!!. THERE IS A MAJOR HIGHWAY RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAMPSITES, AND THE NOISE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE DAY AND NIGHT!!!. CAMP HOSTS WERE RUDE, AND RACIST!!!. THE TOILETS, AND SHOWER ROOMS WERE DISGUSTING!!!. I HAD SPENT 2 DAYS AND 2 NIGHTS THERE, AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. IT'S NOT A CAMPGROUND BY THE LAKE, IT'S A CAMPING NEXT TO A HIGHWAY, WITH A BUNCH OF RUDE PEOPLE AROUND!!!. WHAT A JOKE...
