Jolley Photography

I have to admit that I am extremely confused with Jolleys. All online reviews are spectacular so far, and their websites paints an image of perfection. I don't know if i just got a lot of bad mistakes and circumstances or what, but my experience with Jolleys was no where near what I have seen online.



I came across Jolleys on Groupon, and needed a photographer for my engagement pictures. I looked online, and saw good things so I bought the deal. I first called to make an appointment to learn that they are only open tuesday through saturday. I work Tuesday through Saturday, so that was an obvious problem. The one good thing that happened in my experience is Tammy was willing to come out on a monday and shoot with us. I do have to say that if you own a business, you are going to come across things like this and they should be expecting little issues like this. I say that because it was held against me later.



When we met Tammy for an outdoor photoshoot, she seemed bored and irritated. I didn't make much of it- every one has their off days. The shoot did go well, I thought, and it only lasted a half hour.



After that I was only able to get a hold of them twice. Between I and my Fiance, we called nearly every day for a week. We were told they don't make appointments on Saturday, and they are closed sunday and monday, so we learned not to call then. When we called all other days, we only got their answering machine. We also learned not to leave messages because when they would call us back, it would be while my fiance or I were at work, and we couldn't take their calls. We would try to call back again only to get the answering machine. This went on for two weeks. Finally, my fiance called and left a message for them to just to send the proofs to our email. After not receiving the email for a nother week, he called and left another message. finally, we got the email, and the pictures looked nice.



We tried communicating with them through email about payment options and what we could afford to do. All price options presented to us seems unreasonable to me, and seeing as we are getting married soon, we don't have money to pay for things we weren't expecting. To buy a DVD of 25 pictures on it (to do our own printing, and keep the pictures available to us) would cost $300. I can almost get that, they want to make their money off prints. But a 5X7 would cost us $50! There is no way we could get all the pictures we needed to so we could sent them out with our invitations, frame some for our tables, and give some to our parents per request.

We emailed them back and asked them if there was anything more affordable, and we didn't get a response. This was the last straw for me, and I sent an email stating all of my experience and said that we just needed to know if there was anything else they would provide that we could afford.

I got a call from Bruce.. suprise suprise we were actually able to talk now.. only to have him tell me I had no good reason to be frustrated, that they return every voicemail, and that their prices are completely affordable. i don't know if it is because I am only 20, but he treated me like I was the unreasonable one, and didn't appologize once. He told me that I need to go with someone else if I wanted to pay less than his high prices. He pointed out to me how accomidating they had been by shooting us on a monday and how much money they loose with the groupon deals. He was speaking in a polite voice the whole call, but everything he said was made to point back at me. (because its my fault they made the groupon deal?)



So now, six weeks later, and a week and half before we need to send out our invitations, we need to find another photographer. I wouldn't recomend Jolleys to anyone. Again, it could be a lot of unfortunate circumsances that only effect me, so you choose how you want to while picking your photographer.

We have been to Jolleys twice, once for our daughter who is five and once for our family portrait. Both times Bruce and Tammy where very professional and did and excellent job on both of my sessions. They are so caring and patience with children, my portrait is beautiful and my husband and I cherish both the portrait of our daughter and the one of our family. We have found our family photographers for life, they are the best and we sooooo appreciate the Jolley's. Thanks!

No one has provided the quality of picutre that Bruce & Tammy have. If you haven't tried them, we encourage you to take advantage of a session. You will not be disappointed.

Tammy and Bruce Jolley both have an incredible talent for capturing the best in a moment, that second of time when everything is just right. Whether it's your smile, the sunset lighting that nature is providing or that perfect pose from everyone in a large group, Tammy and Bruce know when it's coming and they get it every time.

They almost know you better than you do. Their instinctive instruction during a photo session enables you to reveal who you really are and it shows on the final portrait. The words "wow" and "That's really me" are common during the portrait review.

The portrait of my family that Bruce and Tammy put together is one of my most valuable possessions and holds a prominent place in my home. I play the drums in a band and they have even offered to allow me to bring my whole drum set with me for a photo session. If it's a part of you, it will most likely be a welcome addition to your sitting.

World class talent, friendly atmosphere, priceless keepsakes. I found it all there at Jolley.
