Be careful when stating your concerns about them not changing gloves when dealing with different clients. Because the staff will turn around and lie to try to get you deferred. They perhaps think everyone is coming for the money forgetting some of us have a BUSINESS OR TWO and we are simply here to help save lives. Be careful!

This place is so unprofessional it's rediculous! In my last few visits a major situation occurred. On my first visit of the week the machine spilled my blood inside of it (they didn't tell me at this point). 2 days later I return and they took my plasma again. The next week I come back they say I can't donate and they dont know why. So for the next week I'm calling and asking why I can't donate and no one would tell me. I asked for managers to call me and no one did for 6 days. So to put this in a nut shell... They put my health in jeopardy and didn't even tell me what happened. It took me calling 6 days in a row to get a response. They never even apologized or offered me any type of compensation for their device malfunctioning. If you want top notch speedy service at a plasma donation center I would recommend ADMA!!! the same situation happened and they compensated the donor.

I used to be very disappointed in my experiences there. I even filed a formal complaint with corporate. Little did i know that management had just changed. The new manager Steven took full responsibility and even called me back. Making no excuses for his predecessor. Now that is PROFESSIONALISM! THINGS HAVE CHANGED! The wait line is considerably less. Staffing is amazing. Hats off to Keisha, Robert, Courtney, Michelle, India, and everyone else. You all are fantastic! I actually look forward to going there now. Thank all of you! Robert H.

I started donating in August on 2016. I do believe in donating to ensure a supply of untainted blood products for our society. I have made several verbal critiques and complaints to the staff and most recently to CSL's asst. manager Vickie who said it is my choice as to whether I wish to donate, but that CSL really doesn't care about my participation.

CSL's staff is unprofessional and unnecessarily rude, uncaring, marginally trained and incompetent. The CSL Smyrna store is dirty. Their wireless internet often is not operating. The $20 stipend is just not worth my time and aggravation; especially considering I am doing CSL a service by spending up to 4 ½ hours per donation in their store.

My concerns:
1. CSL's staff is both and unprofessional.
a. I am often selected for additional screening and wait up to an hour and a half to see an LVN.
b. My last visit (Thursday December 22nd, 2016) was 3 ½ hours from walking in to getting in line to donate.
i. The LVN discovered that back at intake in Aug '16, my sex was entered as a FEMALE. Come on!! It took CSL 3 hours to fix this error, much of that time spent standing as CSL does not have chairs for donors to sit in while on-line.
ii. Once seated to donate, it was nearly 9 PM and your semi-skilled staff was a bit testy as I believe they wished to go home.
iv. I was told by manager Vickie, that 3 hours waiting was not unusual and she did not understand my problem. She did not even offer an apology and was aggravated that I asked to see the manager.
i. Manager Vickie stated CLS short staffs and donors should anticipate up to three hours per visit.
ii. It is extremely unreasonable to spend up to two hours in queue waiting on pre-donation examination; without seating, having to stand for that time.
iii. This morning (Tuesday December 27th) Manager Vickie stated there is nothing she is willing to do and that she was satisfied I would no longer be donating.
d. I question CSL's staff’s professional qualifications and ability.
i. Today I had a small bruise (smaller than a dime) that was healing – turning yellowish, from a previous donation.
ii. I was deferred. This is rude as your staff inflicted the bruise on Thursday last.
iii. And – your new policy of having to examine my arms up to my shoulder pits is a bit much. I have to wear a shirt and tie to work. To donate, I have to change shirts, remove my tie, be examined and re-dress before going to work. This is most unnecessary and needlessly time consuming.
e. CSL's staff often does not pay attention when drawing my blood, resulting in blood spattering, pain and bruising at the draw-site.
f. CSL's staff often is conversing about non-work related topics and does not focus on drawing my blood. This leads to multiple attempts to insert the 16-gage needle, often resulting in bruising, leading to another deferral.
i. In a recent visit, an employee was starting the draw and did not properly seat the lead to the pvc inlet.
ii. The line became unattached, spurting blood onto the machine, floor and onto my shirt requiring dry-cleaning.
b. I had an additional problem when my machine switched off, eventually requiring two techs to restart it.
c. And, when their semi-skilled employees needlessly jab my arm, the resulting bruising leads to a deferment on two-to-three weeks.
i. Of course, I never know if the pin-point bruise is enough to defer me until I stand in line for an hour and get examined.
ii. This wastes both the time to drive to the Smyrna store and the hours spent in the queue.
3. I understand they have up to three days to respond, or, perhaps is it actually three days to decide to totally ignore my concerns?

I'd love to hear back from them or their parent company, CSL Behring, whom I have called and emailed.
I am not holding my breath.

They are the slowest donation place in the state off Georgia. They really need to learn alot from Biolife. They no how valuable your time is and even better they care here they could careless how long it takes you for 20 or 30 bucks. Plus biolife pays more 30-40

The employees and phlebotomists at CSL are awesome. Very nice and helpful people. First donation is $40, second is $45, and third is $50, but you only get the $45 and $50 on second and third donations IF you give your second and third donations within 3 weeks of your first. Otherwise you get $20 for second donation and $34 for third. And that's the rates you will have from then on; $20, $34, $20, $34, etc.
