Over the years I’ve made special note of people I’ve encountered that were so extraordinary that if the time ever came that I wanted to start my own business I’d pay these special talents any amount of money to form the core of my enterprise. Armando Ohnstad is one of these amazing people. Amanda served as our agent during the purchase of our home in Sierra Vista, and she dazzled during every step of the process. She was beautifully prepared and spent long hours patiently showing us properties. Along the way she was always bright and positive, and wonderfully honest and candid when she answered our questions. As we only had a week to view and locate a home much of the actual purchase and escrow process was handled long distance by Amanda. She arranged all of the various inspections and handled every step in the negotiations with tact, humor and warmth. Then, in our absence and on our behalf, she arranged contractors and even managed and observed the work they did on the house. Even after escrow closed Amanda continued to care deeply about us and our home. She looked after the watering of the landscaping in our absence, and even opened and aired out the house for us several days as Amanda knew that I was sensitive to cleaning products and was concerned about my health. And now, here’s the truly amazing detail: Amanda did all of this for us while in the midst of her own personal health crisis! How she managed this will, I predict, become the stuff of legend. In short: Amanda Ohnstad is an extraordinary human being and the consummate professional. We thank her with all our hearts. And when I do open that business, she will be the intelligence, the energy, the spirit at the center of it. She will be my first hire.
