Dr. Bryan has been in practice since 1993. Following his fellowship, Dr Bryan joined Retina Associate in Jacksonville Florida. Dr. Bryan was a consultant and clinical instructor at the University Medical Center teaching and training Ophthalmology residents from the University of Florida College Of Medicine. In 1995, Dr. Bryan moved to Arizona to join Associated Retina Consultants. Dr Bryan has been a clinical instructor at Maricopa Medical Center since 1995 assisting in the training of physicians from the Mayo Clinic, Wills Eye Hospital, Washington University, and University of Arizona.

Currently, Sedona Eye Care has two surgical ophthalmologists, a cataract surgeon: Dr. David McGarey and a retinal specialist: Dr Shepard Bryan who provide consultations of our Sedona office on a visiting basis.

He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine (1988-89) at the Orlando Regional Medical Center and his Residency in Ophthalmology (1989-92) at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. He completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of British Columbia in 1993.
