Affordable Furnace Repair

Don is fantastic. Not only did he diagnose our issue within the first five minutes, he never tried to over sell us on anything. He gave us plenty of ideas on how to optimize our unit's efficiency to get the most out of the old girl. He was efficient and very attentive to details. He also provided a ton of information to help us use the furnace moving forward. His work ethic, knowledge, and efficiency are a breathe of fresh air after our repeated disappointing experiences with several Day and Night techs. Affordable Furnace Repair is now our company for life.

I just spoke to Don who is getting out to the house tomorrow to look a the furnace blower ... still works but sounds out of balance.



Don told me it might be a piece of paper or something that made its way through the vent ... if I could access it and take it out, I could save the cost of repair.



Well, I cant get to the blower without disassemebly, so I am leaving it to the professional, but I was so impressed with Don's help (possibly giving up work) that I thought I would pen this review. Thanks in advance Don!

Don came out a day after I called Affordable Furnace to assess my furnace problem. I could write a long glowing report here, but to save you time I will just say he provided honest answers even though it meant less work for him his honesty saved me a lot of money. I had had two well known heating companies give me bids, and I was really shocked to find out how unscrupulous they had been. I am really grateful that I called Affordable Furnace. Don came out to inspect our furnace and did a great job.



I had woken up with a headache last night and the Carbon Monoxide Alarm was going off this morning. I thought I had a serious issue on my hands but after inspection Don made a few tweaks and we were back in business with minimal service time needed.



He then also inspected the various vents, outputs and inputs (& the furnace itself), taking Carbon Monoxide measurements...all of which confirmed my family was safe.

We own an older Seattle home (1942) but it's been remodeled and added onto over the years. The older portion is cold while the newer part is comfortable. Don came within a week of my call to Affordable Furnace to diagnose the problem. We walked up and down, up and down. He followed ducts, asked questions, and found several of the older ducts had interior baffles, unknown to me. He adjusted them and the air flow improved. He asked me to call him in a couple of weeks to report how the system is working. I asked him to write up his invoice. "No charge...I didn't do anything." Pretty impressive! I gave him $10 for his gas and he won a customer for the future!

I am consistantly impressed with the service level that Don and his company keep. As a real estate agent, I like & need to refer quality service people to my clients and that's what you get with Affordable Furnace Repair!

OK...I am guessing you are just like I was 2 days ago. Your furnace is dead, and you are trying to navigate the web and phone book trying to find a honest and skilled tech to get your damn furnase up and running. You have likely seen the full page ads and well groomed web sites along with read the bad reviews and horror stories about the big corporate plumbing / heat firms that will fix your problem , and possiably clean your wallet as well.



I went with Affordable. Don answered the call and was out that afternoon. He knows his trade, and pinpointed the problem in under 3 minutes. A dead inducer fan assembly killed by a pluged drain line was the villan. A fair price was quoted and agreed to.



He was out the next day with the correct part. The installation was fast and he did routine service on the furnace as well. He checked his work completly by running the furnace through several cycles.Price was as quoted. In short, he takes pride in providing skilled service at a fair price.



My fault for being a moron and never servicing the furnace in the 9 years we have had it. I will be calling Affordable for yearly service to prevent this problem in the future.

Don Blundell came out to our house on Easter Sunday when our furnace went out, leaving us and several houseguests freezing. He was extremely friendly, courteous, and honest He gave us a very reasonable quote on a new furnace, and even drove to Portland to pick it up, and worked until 11 pm installing it.
