Founded in 1982, Stein Hospice is a community-based, nonprofit agency that serves patients and their families. It is certified by Medicaid and Medicare and offers pain and symptom management services. It employs social workers who provide education and counseling to assist patients and their families with life-limiting issues, caregiving concerns and managing stress. In addition, its social workers assist with financial and legal issues. Stein Hospice also employs nursing assistants, massotherapists, art therapists, bereavement counselors and volunteers.
