I am a senior. I paid $440 to the plumber to replace a thermocouple for my gas water heater. After watching videos on Youtube about replacing thermocouple on water heater and Google serach on the correct charge by a plumber to replace the thermocouple, I now realize that I had been overcharged a lot. The cost should be around $200 with a $10 cost for the thermocouple. I think I was overcharged because I am a senior without any knowledge of such a service. I am really unhappy about this service. I will consider to file a complaint with California's License Board.

They are not trustworthy. They try to break something in your unit to sell products and charge you more for extra labor. Do not trust these guys, call somebody else and avoid using these low life people as they pull a trick to charge you for more.

Peter Levy came to my home to clear a clogged line. They wanted $800.00 to the job. I told them Rescue Rooter did the job for $500 on another line that was harder to access at which point they lowered the cost to $479. Then after I left, they convinced my wife to change the lines on the washer for $120 (a 1 minute job I could have done myself for maybe $20.00 in parts). I give them a 2. They did the job, but in an underhanded, and clearly with the intent of milking it for all its worth.

Peter Levi plumbing came to my house promptly after I called to provide a video line inspection for my main line. They quickly found the culprit for the clog - roots in the sewer line. They gave me a great price to fix it, and quickly took care of the problem. I would recommend these guys to everybody. Let them do the worrying so you don't have to.
