The Marin Recorder’s Office is managed by the County of Marin in northern California. The office manages and provides copies of birth, marriage and death records. It maintains an archive containing more than 5 million documents, such as deeds, liens and maps, as well deeds of trust. The Marin Recorder's Office is also responsible for the maintenance of public records concerning matters pertaining to real properties. The county manages emergency services, finance, human resources and probation departments. The County of Marin operates a public works department that is responsible for solid waste collection and diversion, as well as the coordination of household hazardous waste disposal.
