I have taken my dog off and on to Grooming Extraordinaire over the years and have always had a very good experience with them. I do recommend setting up a regular appt, because they are often quite busy and may not be able to get your dog in right away otherwise. My dog never looks better than after a visit to this groomer. I made the mistake of going to other, cheaper groomers - I won't do that again! As other reviewers have mentioned, when I have taken my dog to other groomers, they want to shave him. Don't ever let anyone shave your Australian shepherd -- there is a good chance the hair won't grow back! (Took approx 2 years for my dog's coat to grow back properly and fully!)

I've been taking my Shih Tzu there for a few years now and always happy with her haircut. We just added a little boy shih tzu to the family and this is the reason why i'm rating a 4 and not 5. They came home and looked different. His haircut did not look right and it looked like they missed a couple of spots. Turns out this is the first time I've taken them on a Saturday and only thing they can think of is Mark (groomer & owner), got distracted, put Beau back in the kennel and forgot to finish him up. They were extremely apologetic and of course got him right in and fixed. It was still an inconvenience but will not stop me from going there. This is the first time I've had this kind of issue and again have been going there for at least 3 years every 8 weeks. My in-laws are now switching to them from Petco since they like the work better.

I have taken my Samoyed dogs to Grooming Extraordinaire for years. I also do Samoyed rescue and have taken a number of rescues there that were in terrible condition and other groomers said they had to be shaved, when I knew they didn't need to be. I've found a lot of groomers don't seem to like working on long-haired dogs and use all kinds of excuses to shave them. G-E was able to groom them out without shaving (they do charge additional fees for extra brushing, but it's worth it). Only once did G-E tell me a rescue dog needed shaving, and I completely agreed. I've recommended them to a number of other Samoyed owners and haven't heard any complaints. Besides being good, they're also extremely friendly and the front desk is very efficient.

I have been taking my maltese here for almost a year now. i have never been completely satisfied with their work, but my last visit is the last time i will take my dog there. they usually take the whole day (from 8 am until 5 pm) which was nice sometimes when I had to work, but they were extremely unresponsive and rarely answered their phones. My last visit was disasterous. my dog came back with an average haircut, but she was in constant pain for almost two weeks because they clipped her too close. They also did not call me at all. Once I got home from work, there were no phone calls and no messages. The shop was due to close in only 3 minutes. My son was suppossed to go pick her up but he never received a call to his cell phone. I tried calling but it went straight to voice mail. I am extremely unhappy with this grooming shop and would not reccommend it to anyone to anyone, espescially someone looking for a quality place to have their pup cleaned up.
