General Info: Founded in 1917, Durham School Services is the U.S. student transportation division of National Express Corporation (NEC), which is the North American subsidiary of National Express Group. The company operates more than 13,500 school buses and serves over 300 school districts in nearly 29 U.S. states. It specializes in transportation services for students with special needs. The company offers shuttle solutions for summer camps and regular home-to-school and field trips. Durham School Services also provides charter trips, as well as organizes safety programs through videos, live demonstrations and educational materials. The company supports various fundraising events and toy drives. In addition, its sister company, Stock Transportation, provides services in Canada. Durham School Services is recognized by the National Safety Council, National School Transportation Association, and Environmental Protection Agency.
