Thank you Debra & Nancy for yet another great posting. Everyone at Monroe is so supportive and friendly. I've had two postings now with Monroe and they have been and currently are great. My recruiter, Nancy is the best. She responds when I need help or questions answered and keeps in touch with me dong check in's and updates me on where my contract is performance wise. I’m a career-changer with an extensive resumé containing work experiences in various industries—from art gallery to academia. However, the last time I’d held an office job was in the era when the IBM Selectric typewriter and Rolodex was standard technology!

Okay, *deep breath* this might be a little long but I depend on Yelp a lot, so I'd like to help others find reputable places as well...



I left NYC for San Fran on Halloween and tried to figure out my next steps for a few days. I'd been a temp before on the East Coast, but I hated how inconsistent things were...I wasn't expecting much, but I still set up interviews with a couple of agencies right away. I met with Beverly and Tom (and was later introduced to Debra...she has SUCH a fun personality) and Tom tested my comp skills, while Beverly discussed my needs/wants in a position. They were all so laid back and pleasant...it's a small office and I don't think they take on just anyone as a candidate, they seem sort of particular (in a good way) since they tend to place at smaller companies.



I randomly blurted out that I might like to try a law firm (my mother has been pushing law school since forever). I met with them on Tuesday, and was contacted with a placement at a law firm on Friday lol just my luck, I was over the moon. The firm was small and really felt like a family. Monroe Personnel/Temptime even checked on me regularly after I started to see if it was a good fit and ask if I needed anything. I believe they do a lot of placements within the Financial District/SoMa area, so that makes for a good commute if you're coming from the East Bay. I'd kinda lost all faith in temp agencies before Monroe/Temptime. They have a really great team and I'd refer them to any solid candidate/new transplant looking for work in a flash.



Oh, the law office is like, less than a 10min walk from TempTime and Beverly brought over this wonderful chocolate, pretzel, caramel, Oreo cookie bar/brittle type stuff from Trader Joe's for Christmas. It's things like that that really set TempTime apart!

I absolutely adore this agency! I applied to Monroe Personnel/Temp Time because I had become so sick of working retail jobs for very little money and way too much stress. I wanted to get my foot in the door of a professional job and a Temp Agency seemed like my best bet.



Not only did they accept my application within 24 hours, but Debra personally helped me re-write my resume and landed me the most amazing (and professional) gig. I have been working for the same outstanding company for a year now all because she believed in me and gave me a chance. I am not kidding when I say this job has been a dream come true and opened many doors for me.
