The Mission Council on Alcohol Abuse for the Spanish Speaking is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of health care and support services for people suffering from alcohol and substance abuse. Established in 1978, it offers a variety of community-based services, including mental health care. The organization also provides culturally specific assessments, outpatient and domestic violence consultations, and drug and alcohol prevention education classes. It conducts drug and alcohol urine and breathalyzer tests, as well as offers assistance services for employment, housing and medical needs. Its Dry Zone is a California-licensed program that features information on the risks and consequences of drinking and driving.
