Overall
Excellent Weekly Boutique Hotel Experience in SF

I have been residing here at The Hotel Mirabelle for over a week now and realize that, for a very good price, I have discovered an exceptional boutique hotel of San Francisco. This very well taken care of victorian property is donned with vibrant colors and eloquently apropo decorations that define era's passed and various places in the world. It is a smaller, cozy hotel with her two stories. There are larger guest rooms facing the street that have those slightly rounded windows characteristic of SF victorians. I inquired about one of these rooms for a small rate increase. That is, from a weekly rate of $225 for the regular room to a weekly rate of $280 for the 'step up,' which were not available to me due to their already being occcupied.

A gentleman who oversees the hotel was giving me a welcome tour of the entire place when we came upon a woman steadfastly preparing one of the rooms for a new tenant, I was introduced to her, the owner, whose demeanor was personable and unobtrusive.

Three rooms were presented to me to choose from. Each was assigned a name to describe the theme of its unique design and obviously, to discern one from the next. I immediately chose my third option, the Chiang Mai Room. Textiles, in shades of deep, dark, red against a lush green Backdrop grabbed my interest. The cleverly picked antique furniture pieces each served to function throughout the space. The room seemed quite small (but with tall ceilings) at first. While lying on the well suited, full-sized bed, the room began to feel much larger and very comforting. I noticed Ralph Lauren bedding with deep reddish sateen damask sheets enveloped by a gorgeous handmade quilt. On the door, there hung, a saffron colored silk bathrobe of which I wore everyday. There were many colorful props and antique furnishings from abroad to complete the Northern Thai atmosphere that became my personal, quality space for eight nights.

To boot, nice new sinks, microwaves, and refrigerator/freezers equip each room. A tv is included upon request, with an antennae, devoid of cable or satellite. there is, easy to access, complimentary hi speed wireless, of which I indulged.

The toilet rooms are situated at the end of the long hall on each floor, sparkling clean with new looking everything. They are bracketed by two separate shower rooms, also very clean with new glass doors, fixtures, and tiles, similar to their counterparts.

A very accomodating manager named Buddy resides in the hotel. Between his presence, two separated steel, locking entry doors and the security cameras pointed only where they ought to be, I feel very safe here. It is important to note that, the Hotel Mirabelle is generally very quiet. Rarely have I spotted a guest (two during my entire stay). For the most part, I feel like I have the place to myself, although I know this is not true. Every time I walk into the hallway, I see no one, only Victorian Charm. The bathing facilities, I also have never seen anyone use during my stay and always appear polished. A week is the minimum length of stay here and then a daily rate of $45 can be imposed, which includes tax. I have stayed in many of the B&B's and boutique hotels that San Francisco offers. New to me is the Hotel Mirabelle. She is very San Francisco - esque with her victorian features while delightfully inexpensive. You must call for an appointment to visit the hotel, Don't hesitate in taking this extra step to becoming a guest. A week at the Mirabelle is a sweet deal and like taking a breath of fresh aire.
