Caffe Delle Stelle

I don't know why this place gets such up and down reviews. Caffe Delle Stelle is a compact italian restaurant in Hayes Valley with a small-time feel. I've gone here over a dozen times and I love it. Prices are pretty decent for what your getting, the wait staff have always been professional and very knowledgeable, this coming from a fellow Italian.

I was introduced to this place by Waiters on Wheels of all places when I worked for a dot bomb company. I would order the Pasticcio. We called it "Pockets of Goodness" and that's what it is with ziti, tomatoes, eggplant, caper, smoked mozzarella, baked in pastry crust. Let me tell you something, if you read thru my reviews, you'll notice something.. I'm what you could call meat-tastic. Now, if I'm siting here pushing a non-meat main entree onto you, then when you go here, all I can say is order the Pasticcio. To die for!
