        Best steak house in town if you want some aged steaks. Old school and friendly staff. You can park at the Hilton Hotel's parking garage and they do validate.

        Epitome of American Steakhouses

        I always feel like such a gangster in this restaurant, the entire three times I've been here. Lush, red/gold motif, with Prohibition documents (artifact or replica?) and jeweled chandeliers everywhere. The restaurant is very well hidden and physically overshadowed by the mega Financial District Hilton hotel/restaurant/spa next door, but it's truly the epitome of an American steakhouse. The menu even gives you the cow anatomy! The menu also hosts a variety of other goodies, such as escargots, rack of lamb and lobster. Service is friendly, and we had a birthday boy in our party, and they honored that and brought us a nice dessert. Alfred's is moderately expensive, but the three course $30 City Dinner is a good way to go to. Great place.
