Especially in SD, the facilites are consistently good. They know international students and they know how to keep the place clean and pleasant. Internet access, laundry on-site, it's really just like a youth hostel, but without the very grubby travelers. It's a top-notch place to visit, and it's incredibly affordable if you want to stay long-term and you don't want to deal with the in-out of hotels. You can actually meet people here.
