Absolutely the worst, a nightmare! I would not recommend doing business with these people. They talked a good game and were slick up to the sale, after that, terrible! I bought a VW Beetle from them and dealt with Rob (the owner) when I went to pick up the car, he was conveniently on vacation and two other guys helped me who were extremely vague, and shady. Per my contract, I was suppose to have a new starter motor put in and neither of them could confirm it had been done, and one said, "I think

I saw that motor in the other room" When I picked up the car, it was infested with ants! and the back seat had debris in it, after they told me the car would be detailed for me. The worst part is that the car didn't have any rear headrests so they said that was a safety issue and that they must replace those for me, but when I picked it up... no headrests. So I start emailing and calling to check on them and not one return email or phone call! It's like they just wrote me off! or closed their doors and left town. Weeks later in a last ditch phone call, they said they got the headrests and they could be picked up. My Wife picked them up and turns out they are the wrong year, model, and color! One sort of fit and the other, not even close! I've never written a bad review on a company or service before, but I'm compelled to protect my fellow San Diegans against this company.

I was the customer from hell and these guys bent-over backwards for me. I don't think it's fair to say exactly what they did for me because I'm sure they can't promise to accommodate every customer the same way. I had a good feeling about them, they had a good feeling about me and we were able to work a deal. There was no pressure from them. They have good cars at fair prices. They know it and they don't need to press every potential customer for a sale. Next time I need a used car, or if I need to recommend someone to a friend, these guys are definitely at the top of the list.

From the moment I stepped in the door I was treated with respect even though I was in work clothes and probably looked like I couldnt afford the car I was asking about. The easiest deal and car buying experience I have ever had. I'll be back in 3 years to Purchase my next vehicle from Del Mar Motor Cars. P.S. The coffee is excellent too!
