Matheson Martial Arts

Matheson Marital Arts is a great place for adults and kids. Mr. Matheson is funny and serious. My kids love the karate classes and the skill development classes are a nice change from the everyday lessons. Since the Karate School has only been opened for 3 years there have been a lot of changes to find the right mix of classes offered. Mr. Matheson tries really hard to offer a lot of instruction for the kids and a variety of classes that offer opportunites for the students to learn skills. When we first started at the school my youngest was in the Tiny Tigers Program and the classes were only $115 for 2 days a week. Now he offers unlimited classes for $125 / month. The other classes were seperated by rank of beginner to advanced and the prices were @ $125 for beginners and $165 for Advanced again - only 2-days a week. Now he changed the entire pay structure and offers the classes as unlimited for $150 - per month with a 12-month contract. In my openion I think this is a better deal, since when you get to advanced belt you would be paying a lot more money for a longer period of time. There are a lot of chain schools in the area and the owner all seem about the money and not the training, Matheson's is about a fun family place and offers good service at a good price. I like this place.
