Great Onion rings and burgers. The wife loves the shrimp and fries. The Chicken fried steak is exceptional Good family setting and good place for kids.
I was there recently with a friend to eat in. Before leaving I placed an order with very specific instruction: -2 Burgers, extra mustard, no mayo, no onion
This is place is a lot of fun to eat at. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. They have a sandbox for the kids and you can relax while they hang out. \r However after you get your meal it's hard to get anything else out of the staff. People do not watch their kids and they can sometimes run wild. \r But over all, a great family place.
We've been eating here since we came to San Antonio almost four years ago. The food is excellent and the service is OUTSTANDING! Tried most of the items on the menu and they all taste great. The best Tortilla soup in San Antonio. The Red Beans and Rice are fabulous.
If you don't mind a little sand, then Willie's is a great place for the family to go for some good eats! It gets a little crowded, but that's to be expected of good restuarants.
We arrived at willies on a sunday at @ 3:00 pm, the place was dirty, the didn't have pina coladas, and there were nobody to escort us or to greet us, we placed our order and it came out fast, the salad was half the size it was three months ago, when my friend got her plate there were a big hair on her chicken fried steak, we asked to talk to the manager, about the salad he said that they "decreased" their size so they wouldn't increase the prices,i payed for a large salad and it looked like a small one, in regards to the chicken fried steak he offered to replace it and to pay for my friends meal, my birthday was a fiasco thanks to willies bad food and filthy dinning area, if i ever want to eat willies delicious ribs again i will order a take out.
After searching for a good place to get 2 lbs of crawfish, I finally found a great place to go during the season. If you like crawfish, you can definitely tell the difference from fresh and frozen. The mudbugs at Willies are so fresh that none of the tails stick to the shell, I believe it's because they order them ""live"". These critters were probably swimming around the same morning that you have decided to dine on them. The butter sauce that's served with them for dipping is also excellent! I'm still looking for a place that compares but have found none. \r Pros- Great beer selection\r Cons- A little crowded.
Best burger's in town! Gumbo & crawfish are great, too.
great service,great atmosphere,great crawfish
Willie's patio has something for everyone! A sandbox for the kids, great food, beer and margaritas, and a misting system to keep cool! I probably eat at Willie's more than all other restaurants in S.A. combined, I love it!
