Vista Del Rey Apartments

Do not rent in this place because they are thieves. I lived there for a year and it was a nightmare. It will take weeks for them to fix anything, there was a water leak on my ceiling which they never fixed. I ended up moving out at the end of my lease and they billed me for $1,000.00 for repairs; I left the place clean and they still charged me $25 to clean the kitchen cabinets. This is the worst place you can ever rent; don't get scam by their specials and deals, they are going to charge you a lot of money when you move out and will threaten to sue you if you don't pay them.

Money orders disappeared! Raccoons in the ceiling (2 fell through the ceiling), giant flies (from the raccoon poop in the walls & ceiling). Then the bees moved in...
2 words-- CODE COMPLIANCE!! Call & call & call again until they fix it! I gave up & moved out.

This place is horrible. It is NOT military friendly. Run far away!!! My Husband and I moved to San Antonio because of military orders so we had to find housing fast. The website is a lie. The pictures are old and you will NOT get the amenities they promise you. I REPEAT RUN AWAY!
We got military orders to move at the end of the lease and they charged us 2 additional month because we couldn't give 60 days notice. THIS PLACE IS NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY.

Do not move here. I was dropping off my application for the apartment and my phone was stolen out of my car! thats a clear sign of the neighborhood! Not safe at all ..My windows where not down I actually saw the guy walking away from my car. White guy with sandy red hair. SMH.

Horrible! That pretty much explains everything. First my husband just moved into these apartments because his job transferred him to San Antonio. When he found this place they showed him a new remodeled loft and fooled him into thinking that's what he was getting. They also gave him a bogus amount of rent cost that was higher than listed on it's website. After he went back in and told them the price listed they said they would lower in but not to what it was listed for. Talk about scam! Well my husband decided he still wanted to stay there because it was close to work. After he signed the lease and got a complete list of FINES! Yes FINES the complex will fine you for every little thing you do wrong. We did a walk through in his so call renovated apartment (fresh paint). Everything was jacked up. None of the drawers in the kitchen pulled out correctly. Missing drip pans, rust on the vents, closet clothes rods were falling out the walls. Mold around the tub that was covered with fresh caulk and 2 inches of dust on the ceiling fan in the bedroom. My husband is so gullible that he decided to still take it because they said they would fix it. Yeah Right.

Two AM i am awakened by this scratching/chewing noise. As I become more alert, I realize the rats are back. Thus time they are in the air conditioning vent trying to make their way into my living room. In each side of the vent there are holes to where the rats have been trying to enter my apartment. The fiery time I heard the noise I got out of bed and hit the vent a few times to scare them - that worked for an hour and 45 minutes - awake again because the rats returned. To make sure they don't enter - I blocked the vent and placed some rat poison in the holes - should I be doing this? Having rats - squirrels - raccoons in the walls of this apartment had become the norm and it's quite frustrating- they need some extensive exterminating - demolishment of this building. #sleepy

You only want to live here if you don't need running water and like sharing an apartment with raccoons. Yes, it's close to good schools and restaurants, but there have been raccoons in my walls for the past three months and the water is shut off without notice about every two weeks. When asked to make it right, management responded by trying to break the lease by raising the rent. Go elsewhere.
