A Pap test is a test that is done in order to check your cervix for any cells that are not normal. If abnormal cervical cells are not found and treated, it can lead to cervical cancer. A Pap test can save your life by being able to find cervical cancer cells early. The chance of successful treatment of cervical cancer is very high if the disease is caught early. Pap tests can also find abnormal cervical cells before they become cancer (precancers). Removing these precancers prevents cervical cancer.

A 3D ultrasound is similar to a traditional ultrasound in that 3D ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your baby in the womb. With advancements in today’s technology, we’re now able to offer a 3-dimensional picture of your baby and your baby’s face. 3D ultrasounds are also able to detect select birth defects such as cleft palate, that might not be able to be detected using traditional ultrasound equipment.

Vulvar or vaginal lesions are best treated and evaluated by sampling the area of concern. Some lesions can be completely removed and others only a sample is appropriate to guide further treatment. The area of concern is anesthetized using local anesthesia and usually the areas heal within 7-10 days.
