It seems like there isn't a whole lot this year to do as there were in the years past. My kids like Sea World and it does seem to appeal to younger crowds a lot better. Shamu show is good and the Clyde and Seamore show is as well...however, the Clyde and Seamore show has been the same for the past 5 years. The children's area for playing is huge and great for kids to run off extra energy, but it could be easy for them to get lost. They had a new children's ride this year which was nice and my kids liked it. Be aware that every time you ride a roller coaster, you have to store your purse in a locker for a FEE or have someone sit out and hold it. What a pain! I've been to Cedar Point, and other Six Flags and haven't had to do that. A scam to make more money. They don't offer a yearly parking pass unless you buy the most expensive ticket either.

  • all shows no rides

As a military spouse, I was completely honored to visit SeaWorld- San Antonio. Our family was visiting "our soldier" before he left for a deployment, and while there, we decided to go to SeaWorld. We had no idea that we would GET IN FOR FREE for being a part (or a family member of...) the United States Military............ It was completely wonderful to get to spend a day there, "on the house." (Granted, we spent our fair share on drinks/food/etc, but nonetheless, ha!) the fact that he felt such appreciation made it worth every penny.... The shows were great - the animals were great - If we're ever back in that area, I'd love to go back...

  • not worth the ticket price

The ticket price is insane for what you get. My husband and I went and left feeling very dissapointed. It is certainly for children. Make sure you get a show schedule as soon as you get there so you dont miss the shows. They are the only thing worth going for.

  • Sea World is GREAT!

It is a place for family to go have fun. You can ride AWESOME rides such as The Great White(thrill) and the Steel Eel(thrill). You could get a splash on a water ride such as Journey To Atlantis(water). After all the fun go relax by watching Shamu's shows such as Believe or go watch the jet skii shows(awesome!). You can also celebrate Halloween here. At night they have this cool haunted trail to walk down(It's fun).So don't miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with Shamu!( Oh yeah one more thing... The lines were EXTREMELY short. Most rides didn't even have lines. You just go..choose where in the car you want to be then get on(especially at night). The only ride that had a line was Jouney to Atlantis(The line wasn't even that long on this ride and it was worth the short wait).

  • great shows, but that's all

We took our 3 children last summer. The plan... see the shows and then go to the waterpark. We went to all the shows, which are fantastic, but it took all day to see the shows. When we were ready to go to the water park , there was a 2 hour waiting line just to get in to the waterpark. I had no idea we would have to wait in line to get into the waterpark. After a full day of walking around the park, there was no way I was standing in line for 2 hours. Also, they are not euipped to handle the crowd. There are not enough places to eat or just get a drink. We stood in line for an hour to get our lunch and another 30 minutes later on in the afternoon just to get a drink. There are not enough bathrooms either. I will not be going back.

Great fun especially for the younger set. The fountain at the front gate is a great place for a family photo with the gate as a back drop.

  • Full of stupid ""rules""

One of my dreams has been to swim with the dolphins before I die. I got to do it here, but this security guy with a long hook-thing pulled me out. He made up some lie about the dolphins being ""fragile"", but they aren't. I've seen them jump and play ball. Hey, security guy! My ticket pays your salary! Don't tell me what to do, HELP me do what I want to do!

If you plan your trip before you go this tip will make your Sea World visit much more cost effective less stressful and more fun. Go to Sea Worlds web site click on purchase tickets. You can get a 2 day ticket for the price of a one day ticket. It is an e-ticket and you must print it of and take it to the park with you. The days do not have to be consecutive but must be used during the 'season' they are purchased. I did this last year and just purchased them again today! If you want to take your time and see everything or have young kids that can't do long days at the park this is perfect. We do one day on exibits and shows and one day in the water park and in the splash zones of the shows we want to see again.
