The atmosphere was really cozy and warm. The shrimp fettuccine was excellent. The shrimp was fresh and the home made sauce was succulent. The bread was fresh and tasty. The service was nice, no complaints. I will definitely return.

Satisfied on a Friday evening.

This was my first and last time to this restaurant. I took my family of 6 to this authentic Italian restaurant with the expectation of having a lovely dinner and was disappointed. The staff (assuming owner and daughter) was rude and disregarded our requests for more bread and wine while the "regulars" were treated with countless bread and drink refills. When they weren't sitting with their "regular" customers they were drawing the three waiters attention to serve their "regular" customers and never looked our way to see if we needed anything. Even when we finally got the attention of the waiters our glasses remained empty. When we finally got our food it was mediocre. Warm not hot. Ok flavor but couldn't really tell since I was thirsty and hungry and annoyed with the horrid service! Then was met at the door by the owner to say "goodbye"! Really! Goodbye and good riddance! I will not be back.

I was taken to this restaurant last night. This is an amazing Mom and Pop place, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The food is amazing! From the salad to the main course, a real Italian treasure! I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and my companion, the lasagna- Of course we "shared" - This is now my favorite Italian Restaurant- Thank you Pat for bringing me here!!! We will be back!

Let's hear it for small restaurants

I have consistently found that the best restaurants are those that are small and owned and managed by families. Piccolo's is just such a place. The atmosphere is like those places in New Orleans, New York, or San Francisco, where the whole thing is the food - making sure it is well-prepared, fresh, served quickly, and at a reasonable price. The sauces are always freshly prepared, and the fish is not "fishy." The wait staff is efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The decor is what you'd expect in a family-owned restaurant - thematic, not fancy, but with a pleasing personality.

About the food. Every dish I've had there is delightful in its blend and balance of sauces, cheeses, and spices. I'm planning on having everything in the menu eventually. I would like to have a bigger choice of desserts, but that's a minor issue.

the best italian food ever!

they seat you as quickly as they can and are honestly up front about how long the wait is. the food is incredible and i have tried everything. If you are not sure about a dish just ask and if you are not sure but have an idea of what you want they will point you in the right direction. I have even had a few thind off the menu. salad are always fresh, calamari fritti with it's sauce is wonderfull. whether it's seafood for chicken, beef you can not go wrong in the rafaello sauce. dessert you need the capaccino pie!

This is my favorite restaurant period! After living in Italy for 2 years I wanted the real deal & this is authentic as it gets. And so are the owners. The prices are competitive & their tortilini is thea best! Relatives from IL come every year just to eat their breadsticks. They can't be beat! SMM

A local favorite of mine has great food for the price and the staff is very friendly.

I go there every two weeks. The food is homemade and they have cappuccino pie to die for.

A local favorite of mine

We lived in San Antonio for 30 years and moved to Fort Worth 4 1/2 years ago. We have not found any place like Piccolo's here. We go to Piccolo's whenever we return to San Antonio.
