He expanded his clinical skill set by becoming a Certified Manual Therapist from the Manual Therapy Institute out of San Marcos, Texas. Dr. Molina has also earned a Masters of Business Administration from UT at Brownsville. He has practiced in a variety of settings, with an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics. Joanna earned her Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree from St. Philipâ€™s College in 2013 and her bachelorâ€™s degree in Exercise and Sports Medicine from Texas State University in 2006. Prior to earning her PTA degree, Joanna spent 6 years working as a PT technician here at PRI.Â She has been with PRI since 2007 (close to 15 years).
Physical Therapy
The state of Texas requires that we receive orders from a Medical Doctor and obtain a prescription for Physical Therapy. We can evaluate a patient without a doctor referral, but we cannot perform subsequent treatments until obtaining the doctor’s prescription.
Manual Therapy
Dr. Bussey received his initial Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then earned a master’s degree with emphasis being in orthopaedics and manual therapy from TWU in Dallas and a doctoral degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Dr. Bussey is Board Certified by the APTA as an Orthopaedic Specialist. He has served as an adjunct professor at the UTHSC in San Antonio with the Physical Therapy Department and has a particular interest in the spine and sports related injuries. Professional background
