I took my 2000 Ford Contour in for jerking when I was driving. Scott looked at my car and had it diagnosed later on that day. He quoted me a reasonable price for the issue plus a tune up. My dad and I decided to get the work done. Scott said he could possibly have it done that day later in the afternoon. I went ahead and waited to check the next day as I know these things can take time. When I called Scott said that all the initial issues were fixed but there was one more urgent matter that needed to be taken care of. I told Scott lets go ahead and get it done because I want my car to be in good shape. He ordered the part and they got it to him very quickly and my car was fixed. All I can say is that I am thankful for people like Scott that take pride in their work and getting it done right. He really looked out for me and I am a very happy customer.

I've gone there three times to have my car worked on, 1st to have an oil change, 2nd to have fan replaced so my A/C would work. 3rd they did another oil change. They do an amazing job, and I feel my car is in good hands. Very helpful guys and fair prices. Thank you.

Patriot Automotive was a huge help to my vehicle in having A/C issues, being trustworthy with your customers does go a long way. The A/C in my car was making an awful rattling noise that quickly got worse over a few days until it reached a point in which neither my husband and I wanted to drive it. It needed to be repaired ASAP so we didn't risk losing our sanity every time we had to drive it. Due to my work schedule, my husband's work schedule, and having a 10.5 month old baby at home, I would have to wait while the car was repaired. We just moved into the area a few months ago, so we had to find an automotive shop. I found Patriot Automotive on YP so I called them to see if they had time in their schedule to service my car. They were already booked/busy for the rest of the day, but Mike managed to squeeze me into the schedule so I could be on my way with same-day service. My car was fixed for a reasonable price within a reasonable amount of time and I was thankfully NOT pestered with suggested add-on services. I greatly appreciated Mike's help at Patriot Automotive, and we will be sure to bring them our business again when needed.

I took my daughter's car in this morning because her battery light kept coming on and she was having problems starting it. I spoke with Scott Matowitz. He had her car taken back to be looked at immediately and then promptly explained the problems in terms that I could understand. He provided me with options and then offered a very reasonable estimate. He ordered the parts and within a few hours the car was fixed ready to go. Now that is service !!!! He was very kind and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Patriot Automotive was experienced, kind, and respectful. Being female often I am talked down to or ignored when my husband goes in with me to take my car in. These guys listened and continued speaking to me even though my husband was there. They asked me the questions about the problems I was having. They were quick and true to their estimate. It is hard to find a good auto place. I am glad I found these guys so soon after moving here.

Patriot Auto had my car up and running within a couple hours! Very nice friendly people who you can tell are experienced and caring. Price is very reasonable. I will recommend 100% to anyone in need!

These guys keep my car on the road. It's an old car and they have changed out my transmission, put in a new AC and other general maintenance over the years. They never talk down do me and they go out of their way to be helpful. They put the best parts in...not cheap stuff that will wear out. And if a part fails, which happens, they stand by it. Finding a mechanic that's trustworthy is tough but Patriot Auto is honest, fast, and they know their stuff.

They were awesome! My mom's car broke down downtown and we were able to get the tow truck to drop it off in the Patriot's great-sized parking lot. The guys at Patriot were very quick with replacing my mom's alternator and the pricing was very affordable. They got us in and out in an hour and a half. Great place I would recommend Patriot Automotive to anyone.

Our first experience with Scott and Patriot Transmissions was exceedingly pleasant. To find an automobile mechanic these days who is up-front, honest and trustworthy is a breath of fresh air. No one looks forward to the expense of vehicle repairs but, when they again become unavoidable, I know where I am going.

We are lucky to have a mechanic that we trust absolutely. When he diagnosed by F250 as needing transmission work, he referred me to Scott at Patriot Transmission and assured me I would be pleased. Delivered the truck to Scott on Monday morning and Scott promised to have it ready by Friday or Monday at the latest. Called me on Thursday and told me the truck was ready and for the fair price quoted earlier. Very professional, yet personal, service. If I could, I'd give him a six star rating.

My daughters do NOT know how to take care of vehicles. Luckily, Scott does. Great mechanic, keeps his word, and does great work.



Something of a rarity these days in the auto mechanic field.

A mechanic’s mechanic! I was referred to Patriot Transmission by my regular auto mechanic. I called Scott at Patriot to tell him the symptoms of my broken transmission. Scott told me what he would do up front; he gave me a ballpark figure, he would have a wrecker pick up my truck at no charge, call me when it arrived safely at his shop, would then break down the transmission to give me an exact price and when it would be ready to pickup. Scott did what he said he was going to do and did it without me having to call him once. It’s not about the price; it is about the customer service and, most important, the work. Scott was true to getting my vehicle back to me like he promised. My vehicle drives like new. The gears shift unnoticeably and quiet. He also followed up 3 days later to see if I had any problems and was satisfied with the repair. Who does that? Well…Patriot does! They will be my transmission “go to” place and the one I recommend to anyone with transmission problems.

Towed the car from my house to the shop at no charge. Took 5 days to do the job

(although this includes the 4th of July holiday period).

When I returned for my minivan, I was pleasantly surprised

in that he not only fixed the transmission, but had thoroughly

detailed the car to include armor-all on the tires at no additional charge.

After it was fixed, went on our family vacation to the Grand Canyon and back

to San Antonio, about 3000 miles of driving, with no problems whatsoever.

This is absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had with a mechanic!

Patriot Transmission saved me so much money. Honesty is one thing I look for and this company

has a lot of that. I went to three other places in San Antonio and these guys were the best.

Everyone else we talked to, told me I needed a new transmission and he told me that it was just a

simple $100 repair and that it would only take 24 hours. 18 hours later,

he called me back and told me the car was ready. He is very honest and very reasonable.

There is no way I can say enough about him. We were quoted $2800 from other people.
