Was in the hospital all night with my husband last night 2-7-19. - 2-8-19 and I knew there was something wrong with my husband he has been the same for 3 months. He was in so much pain and couldn’t walk or anything and the nurses were beyond rude and horrible.. while I was in the room with my husband I could here them talking about patients and about my husband and how he was lying about his pain and that there was nothing wrong with him. I hate the nurses and how rude they and I hate the whole hospital at that. They have no patience and no emotions towards there elderly patients or people who are in beyond pain.. after several hours of being there they finally found what was wrong with him I honestly could not believe how rude they were being especially by talking that loud in the hall about patients and how there is nothing wrong with them never will go there again worse experience ever they shouldn’t even be open with how they treat people.

The ER nurse that took over my moms visit was amazing, she was very kind, fast paced, and did not leave her side until she was stable enough to be moved up to ICU (which took about 6-7 hours). After she was transferred to ICU all the staff including CNAs RNs DRs to housekeeping they were all phenomenal. I was very impressed and would recommend this hospital to anybody and everybody

Visited Baptist mission trail hospital 3//25/2016 what a disappointment. Dr Christopher Diaz is so rude even thou he is getting paid since I have super health insurance. He refused to speak to me at the end of the visit. I was told to read the discharge instructions,, supposed I was very old and blind. My primary nurse Rebecca and David tried to kill me by infusing air bubbles when I corrected them I was told I should have gone to Methodist Hospital. This is a horrible hospital such a pretty building but such bad medical staff. The doctor comes in and pressed on my belly without washing his hands and walks out. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where Dr Christopher Diaz is not around.

I took my elderly mother there the other night. She can barely walk, I went in ahead of her to get a wheelchair & when I asked the nurse at the desk she just motioned with her head & said "they're over there & if you don't see any then there aren't any left" I had to explain that my mom was elderly so then the young nurse confiscated one from a woman who was a lot younger & healthier & really didn't need to be sitting in one. The nurse helped me get my mom on the chair & took her inside while I parked my car. When I returned my mom was just placed in an area & left alone. As I was filling out the paper work at the desk, another young nurse came out & informed her co-workers that she needed a wheelchair. She was told that all the chairs were taken. She looked around & asked "what about that one with the clip board in her hand?" I turned to see & "that one with the clip board in her hand" was my mother!!!! She was left there suffering in pain & holding on to the clipboard the young nurse gave her!!! I'm no genius but it was evident to see my mother was in no shape to hold on to a clip board let alone fill out the paperwork!!!! These 3 young nurses must have not been taught to have compassion for their patient's!!!! I thought the University Hospital ER was bad, this one is about the same!!! My mom is not on any type of government assistance. She has 2 health insurance's. You'd think we were on welfare the way we were treated!!! For being a new facility, they sure lack decent caring nurses, especially the one's doing the intake on 2nd shift!! Don't go there if you can help it!!! BIG FAT ZERO RATING 0000000000000000000000

WARNING>>>Do not go to Mission Trail Baptist Hospital. NO STARS>>>>They (ER & on staff Doctor(s)) released my father-in-law with seizure and stroke-like symptoms. He suffered a stroke a several hours later. SAFD EMT reponded to his residence to find he had been suffering from a stroke. SAFD refused to transport to Mission Trails due to his condition and decided to goto a hospital downtown. Thank god for the great decision by the SAFD EMT's to goto a different hospital because he is alive and stable today...DO NOT GO TO MISSION TRAILS. Second note (UN-SANITARY CONDITIONS)>>>>When my father-in-law was taken to a room in the ER for treatment, there were bodily fluids (dried coagulated blood) all over the floor next to his bed. I quickly questioned a nurse outside our room and that nusre actually told me the room was cleaned and she personally sweep the room....SWEPT the room (not mopped but swept). I'm curious to find out how many hospital regulations & health code violations were broken. Simple! The ER staff failed to ensure required sanitation-housekeeping procedures were followed prior to the patient entering the room. I had to demand the room cleaned before the nurse would get up out of the chair to have the room properly cleaned and sanitized. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone seek treatment at this so-called hospital.

HORRIBLE hospital! Took my husband to the ER for a protruding disc in his L5-S1 Lumbosacral joint he was in excruciating pain and was left on a bed with no pillows or pain meds for OVER THREE hours! At that point we called one of the nurses to bring in a wheelchair so that I could try get my husband out of the hospital so he could receive treatment at another hospital since they were doing nothing to help him. It was only at that point that they finally brought the physician in to assess my husband the doctor was very cordial but the nursing staff was very rude during his seven hour stay we only saw a nurse twice and that was only to administer the medication that the doctor had ordered and at one point after receiving his first shots another nurse came in ten minutes later to give him the shots that he had just received come to find out that the nurse did not sign off that the drugs had been administered they would have overdosed my husband if we had not been paying attention. All in all we were glad to leave that place and would definitely not go back or recommend this hospital. I would rate this hospital zero stars but it won't let me so I rate it a one but really it deserves no stars at all.

On july 23rd, 2013 at around 12 noon I visited the ER. This was the first time that the first person to come and look after me was the registration clerk. I told her that I did not have any insurance and she was polite...at first. Shortly after she left the doctor comes in and accesses me. Then the registration clerk comes back in and starts haggling me for money that I did not have. I wanted to make sure that the pains I was having was nothing serious like a stroke or heart attack and the registration clerk is wanting money out of me while I was in the er. Finally when i convinced her that I did not have any money she tells me that she has to go and talk with her supervisor but the next time I come into the ER i have to pay at least $365.00 and left with an attitude. All the while i am reading the statement in thier ER that says they will not turn anyone away even if they do not have insurance...They need to take that sign down. Then the nurses come in and they are nice but very short and intolerant..you know how when someone is forced to be nice to you but really do not want to be kindah nice?

This is not the first time I ever vist a ER or a healthcare facility but this was the first time I was treated so inhumane in a healthcare facility PERIOD!!!

Mission Trail is all about the money...they do not care about you as a person and even when i do get insurance I do not ever plan on going there ever again.

Refer by my younger sister as being a Good Hospital...hum..Yesterday evening at 7:pm I took my Dad thru the E.R. due to dizziness, light headed and tingling sensation to left arm. Of course, as expected there was alot of people waiting. My Dad prefers to be spoken to in Spanish (especially that he was feeling so bad) First time I see on the admission slip "what language does patient prefer". GREAT I thought..Then the triage nurse called for him and of course I was right there w/him. She was very rude, never LOOKED at either of us, just kept asking him questions. Seemed as if she did not approve of ME answering the questions because she continued to ask HIM and started raising her voice when he wouldn't answer.. as if THAT WOULD MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND HER BETTER IF SHE YELLED INSTEAD!! I calmly told her Ma'am I realize your tired but if you would notice on his chart it reads SPANISH SPEAKER ONLY PLS. plus I, his daughter, am right here to translate!!! I would appreciate you not yelling at him cause you are upsetting him even more!! She ignored me!!! After being there from 7-12:30..I needed to compliant to the Head nurse in charge. There is not reason for a Dr/Nurse to be so rude plus I still don't understand how hard is it to LEARN Spanish when you make the money you make!! Especially here in S.A.TX...I could not find ANYONE who spoke Spanish! I purposely would ask anyone who came in to see him. Obviously no one ever read the SPANISH ONLY in his chart!! Thank God my sisters and I will always be there for him but what about others who don't have anyone!! VERY FRUSTRATED and UPSETTING!!
