ACCION Texas, founded in 1994, provides loans, lines of credit and other services to small businesses that do not have access to funds from commercial sources. The association s $10 million Opportunity Fund offers financial support to small business owners. Its loans range from $500 to $50,000 and lines of credit range from $5,000 to $25,000. The loans are also offered to persons with limited or poor credit history. The organization provides online loan payment facility and resources on obtaining loans. The nonprofit organization has provided more than $40 million in loans to over 1,000 clients in San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Brownsville, Mc Allen, El Paso, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Laredo and other large rural counties in Texas.
