We needed my son’s car towed from New Braunfels to San Antonio. That doesn’t begin to tell what that involved. My son has his car lowered, very low. This has to be frustrating to people who tow cars. Also, he has done a lot of modifications to the car (Subaru BRZ), like the bumper, the wheels, amongst other things. Pablo was given the task of towing the car. He spent an hour loading the car. It was unattended, no keys and only a couple inches off the ground. Pablo made extraordinary efforts to load the car without damaging anything. He took over 30 pics and kept us posted throughout the entire process. When the car arrived, he did the same getting it down and even into our garage! He used variety of equipment, extra patience and lots of experience and professionalism. We could not have asked for a better outcome. Pablo took care of the car as if it were his own. He was very friendly too. We really appreciate Lara Automotive, especially Pablo!

I shredded my tire in San Antonio (NOT my favorite place to drive) at approximately 7p.m. Called my insurance company and accidentally hung up on them twice! Really wasn't having a good day. After talking to the third person at the insurance company (my fault, not theirs) they said they would send a tow truck - my original plan was to be towed to the local Wal-Mart and sleep in my car until they opened the next morning. The tow truck driver called me approximately 75 minutes after my original call and asked me where I was. By this time I was close to hysterics and crying that I did not know where I was. He hung up and another person (bless his heart) called and asked me where I was. By this time I figured I was never going to get home (I live in Del Rio, TX). Told him the sign that was in front of me which was a school for deaf children. He Googled it and got the driver to me. I said he was taking me to the Wal-Mart and he said "no, I'm driving you and your car home"! At my disbelief, he showed me his phone and it said exactly that. All I can say is God was with me when my insurance company called Lara's Towing and my guardian angel was driving the truck!

Lara TOWING was sent by insurance company to pick up my truck. They added damages when they decided to drive my vehicle.
Absolutely NOTHING positive to say about promptness, definitely NO expertise and a true lack of professionalism.

This has to be the worst towing company. They tell me they will be arriving in one hour. One hour goes by and still no one. When I called back to find out where they were at, they put me on hold immediately without answering because they did not want to talk with me. I have sat waiting for 2 hours and they finally tell my roadside assistance company that they are not going. Why didn't they say that at the beginning? Who leaves people on the side of the road for over 2 hours? I would not recommend using this company ever.

I've experienced this towing company twice now, & both times they arrived over 1hr late. Please tell your insurance or roadside program NOT to use this company!

The 1st time was scheduled a day in advance through Progressive, & after they were 25 mins late & I hadn't heard from them (they had my cell#), I called. Their dispatcher told me they knew of my appt & the driver was 20 mins away, which sounded like they were waiting for my call before dispatching a driver. They finally arrived 50 mins after my call & 75 mins after my initial appt.

My 2nd experience was arranged through Audi Care. After waiting an hour I called Audi, only to find out they were using this worthless company as well! I immediately called Lara myself &, again, they hadn't dispatched anyone until I called them directly. The dispatcher told me 45 minutes despite the fact that they told Audi it would be 20 minutes over an hour ago. It's been 60 mins since I called & I'm still waiting.....

Very happy with my experience, Amed was quick, professional and friendly. He even dropped me off down the street after he towed the car. Would definitely use again

I have used Lara Automotive services several times, for towing and repairs. I've had nothing but great experiences. They were prompt and have very reasonable rates.



They actually towed my truck last night. I'll let you know how they do with this service!! The towing went fine. They tried to jump start my truck but I think it's the starter.

the first time my car was towed, Lara Towing was sent out. They originally sent someone to jump my car and were told I needed a tow not a jump. Therefore, it took them over two hours to finally get to me for the tow. I had already made arrangements with the dealer to get a loner car. When the driver of the tow truck was instructed to tow my vehicle to the dealer he said they (Lara's) had a repair shop nearby and it would be cheaper and faster if we took it there as opposed to the dealer. Unfortunately,against my better judgement, I allowed him to tow my car to their facility. Worst decision of my life!





This issue has been going on since June. Since June, I have had my car there four times. Three of which my roadside assist service was charged for a tow. I've been told untruths, had my vehicle out of commission on and off since June, been stranded several times due to the problem, never once received a call back from them in response to my messages, have been unable to get anyone to answer the phone for days on end, told I had a lifetime warranty on the alternator, and been treated like a liar. To top it off, the final phone contact with them lead to my overhearing them saying there was nothing wrong with my car and they didn't need customers like me, then being hung up on several times as I attempted to call them back.



All I would like is my money back for the original alternator that they 'say' they replaced. I certainly didn't expect to have to pay twice for the same service, or deal with the inconvenience of not having my car for days, or being stranded multiple times.



Worst company I have EVER dealt with! Stay away!!!!!!

Company was called through my insurance. I needed a tow due to some transmission problems. Estimated time of arrival was 80 min. My insurance company called to see if the truck had arrived and when I told them it had not, they checked on the status, and was told it would be 30 min, but the truck took over an hour from that point. The driver arrived and TWICE tried to start the MANUAL vehicle without pushing in the clutch. He went back to the truck to get a jumper and ignored me telling him it would start fine, but wouldn't drive. It took 2 of my male friends insisting that it really did need a tow and not a jump.

It's a shame that I have to give this company 1 star. I got a flat tire about 4:30 PM, called roadside assistance, and they said that this company would be there by 5:40PM. I had my 3 month old daughter with me, and thankfully my husband's boss was nice enough to pick us up and take us home. I had called Lara Automotive telling them I would not be with my car, But exactly where it was and where the key was. They said they would call when they had gotten to my car.

At 6pm I had a courtesy call from roadside assistance making sure my car had been picked up. I told them I had not yet received a call, so they called and checked in for me. The worker told r.a. that the driver was on his way, but stuck in traffic.

At 8pm I hadn't heard anything from Lara so I called them, they said again someone was on the way. (I spoke with a very rude lady)

At 9pm I called once more, and the same rude lady told me that the driver was about to leave the shop. I asked her why I had been told that the driver had already been on the way if he really wasnt. She wouldn't give me an answer.

At 10pm I had called r.a. to file a complaint on this company, and during that call, the driver called me saying he was looking for me car. Then asked me to flash my headlights so he could see me on the street. I said first I wasn't with my car, and second it wasnt on a street it was in a parking lot by a tree. Then he tried to argue with me about where my car was. He said he would call his dispatch and check the location.

By 10.30 I still hadn't heard anything, so I called the company again. The lady told me she would have the driver call me.

11pm came around, still no word from the driver. I called r.a. to have a new company go get my car, but asked her to double check with Lara to see if my some miracle they had gotten it. Thank the Lord it had been picked up and delivered to the Dealership.

I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. What if I had not found a ride home? I would have either sat in my car for 5 hours with a 3 month old, or walked 10 miles home in 100 degree heat? Ugh!

My vehicle needed towing because my fuel pump failed. Lara was called through my insurance and they offered to repair it themselves since they had an in-house mechanic. after the repair, my vehicle died and had to leave it another 2 days for them to fix. then about a week later, my check engine light came on. took it to my normal mechanic and they fixed it no problem. no issues since. Lara Automotive should stick to towing. they are clearly not a mechanic shop.

So this towing service was called through my insurance provider to come tow my truck. The call was placed at 10:30 PM. I provided an exact location and a description of my vehicle. At night a vehicle description is almost useless right? Wrong, these idiots couldn't find a truck that is covered in aftermarket lights that was throughly illuminating an otherwise pitch black street. So they call me back at 1 AM telling me that they couldn't locate my vehicle (which I was with) when they did not even come far enough down the road to attempt to locate it. If you want your truck towed, pick another service because this gaggle of retards that work for the company are useless. You'll have better luck walking home.

I suddenly found myself in need of A/C repair. When I took my car to Lara, I found out that my ENTIRE A/C needed to be replaced. Lara completed the job in a little over a day. UH-MAZING! My A/C is perfect, and my engine is performing better! Thank you, Lara! I will never go anywhere else for my repairs!
