Inspiritas is a haven for care-givers, families and any persons interested in maximizing their health and well-being. The spa offers healing-oriented medicine based within the five National Institutes of Health defined domains of complementary medicine: biological therapies, which include nutrition-related treatments; massage therapies; mind/body intervention; energy therapies, and whole medical systems, such as acupuncture. All of the modalities are evidence-based, meaning that they have been shown to be effective for reducing patient side-effects, reducing stress and also increasing the patient’s sense of well-being. Inspiritas includes a mastectomy boutique and wig resource center, with private fitting rooms and a wide selection of products. The movement therapy studio provides a relaxing haven for mediation classes and also lectures on a variety of subjects. Additionally, Inspiritas features a large retail area, offering a wide variety of items including paraben-free, fragrance-free, and organic skin and body care, inspirational books and gift items, guided imagery and music CD’s, all natural vitamins and nutritional supplements, teas and accessories for home preparation.
