Great Northwest Animal Hospital

The staff is friendly and genuinely care about what they do. I switched my Molly from another facility to the Great Northwest because my other fur baby was already registered there. They treat you with respect and give their utmost attention to your pets. It’s clean and it’s close to our home. I highly recommend them.

Staff and the husband/wife vet owners are professional and caring. Completely remodeled and expanded facilities are impressive. Had pets for more than 50 years, Dr. Michele Wright ranks as one the best and thorough vets I have encountered.

I have been bringing my cats to GNWAH since 2014. Dr. Johnson was my Precious' favorite and she adores both Dr's. Wright. Both Dr. Travis and Dr. Michelle are highly skilled veterinarians whom I trust completely with the lives and health of my fur babies. I recommend them to EVERY pet parent.

I was referred here by a family member.now i know this is a vet office but there was dog pee in the middle of the floor in the lobby area.I did like the Vet,overall she is the reason that im giving 2 stars instead of 1 stars.what i absolutely did not like was how the redheaded male assistant smacked my dog in the nose for flinching or twitching when he got 3 back to back shots.I thought that was rudiculous and then he preceded to tell me that i should pick up that habit too of smacking his nose because of his behavior with nail clippers.on top of that they overcharge by $80-$200.why should 2 puppy booster shots cost $250 all together? I decided to go to ingram park animal hospital and am greatly satisfied with how they treated my dog and was more of a reasonable price compared to this place.do not take your dog here.i never write reviews but i felt this needed to be said

We picked up this hospital because it only 5mins driving from our house. The cost was alright but the staff I talked on phone before the first visit gave me the wrong information. Later I found out that it would cost us $86 more. Both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Meztler are great. They explained everything we needed and answered all the questions very patiently. We had our new kitten checked up, vaccined, neutered and declawed. Dr. Meztler called us everyday after the surgery to check on our kitten. Unfortunately our kitten got an infection on his claws we had to take him back to get him on antibiotics. I have a 3 years old and an infant. Every time I went there I was too hand-full to open the heavy door. The glass door is see through, the staffs can see exactly what we needed every time. But they NEVER came out to give us a hand. They just watched my little one struggled from trying to open that heavy door minutes and minutes. They love animals so bad that the human beings just don't matter anymore?

I just finished up at the Great Northwest Animal Hospital! They were amazing! This is our first puppy, and every question I had was answered to my satisfaction. Dr. Johnson was very kind and explained the visit so that I would be fully educated on my puppy's health. I would tell anyone to take their pets there! The prices were reasonable and the staff was awesome!

Dr. Johnson and his staff are absolutely wonderful! I wouldn't trust my animals' health or lives with any other veterinarian in the San Antonio area! I moved away from San Antonio for approximately 5 years and WISHED I had Dr. Johnson and his staff caring for my animals. Now that we are back, there was no other vet I would've contacted to take care of my animals. Highly recommended.
