I used to get my hair braided at Goddess Hair Braiding for years before I was deployed without any issues at all. The owners are very professional and customers oriented. When I got back from deployment, I made an appointment. 24 hours before my appointment date, I received a reminder text message and a phone call. As soon as I worked in the door for my appointment, all of the stylists with smile said “good morning. Welcome to Goddess.’ The stylist did my Senegalese twist in a record time, pretty neat, at an affordable price with free shampoo/conditioning and hair provided at no additional cost. The shop is big, clean, and very welcoming. The nicest African shop in San Antonio, with 3 TVs and free Wi-Fi, in a major shopping center, on a main road. I also received a follow up call in the morning after my service from the owner to inquire about the service provided. My mom and daughter are all now getting their hair braided at goddess. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I had an appointment@830 got washed and blow dried and got twisted up. I was blown away at how great the results were. Im loving my hair the spirit of the techs was amazing we laughed and had a great time.
I had micro braids done in April and they still look good. My appointment was on a weekend after 8pm and they still allowed for me to be seen. It took them less than 5 hrs to do. Very Pleased!! Go, you won't be disappointed.
If it was possible to give no stars I would. They took 9 hours for Senegalese twist then the last 2 hrs ppl were braiding. Just took my braids out and realized my hair was burnt from them blow drying it. My hair is uneven and thinner. I am a hair health junky, I don't use gel nor heat. Heat only 2 times a year. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE. DO NOT!!!!!!
Please Beware! My braids started falling out less than a week of having them in. The owner gives you the run around and is not professional at all. I have notified the appropriate officials and hopefully my problem will be rectified. Just stay away.
Had twists n a month n a half, also had touch up less than a month after getting them. Im very dissatisfied, I could have went somewhere else and spent $200 for a much better job.
Apppointment was at 830 am. Three hair techs and 3 customers. I'm getting micros, 1 customer was getting touch up and another getting regular braids. Why are there 2 two on regular braids and the other getting her touch up while I sit and wait with 2 braids in my hair. I arrived on time but being serviced late. Plus, I'm was still sitting and no one has touched my head since I sat in the chair at 830. It took an hr and 22 mins before the tech finally came back to do my hair
Very Slow & Unprofessional!! They NEVER keep to their appointment time. I have experienced this on several occasions, and finally decided to take my money and business elsewhere. The language barrier is a pain to deal with, and the owner does not care to correct any issues. BTW, they DO NOT accept credit or debit cards. It is a cash only business. Can someone be rated a NEGATIVE star?
Stay awaay!!! And this is coming from a military sergeant. I'm not picking nor am I hard to please. I came for twists and with in two weeks three rows of braids slipped out or came unraveled. I paid 200 and I called the owner to get them redone and his response was money isn't the issue and what do I want them to do??? I know there's a language barrier but I wouldn't wast my time nor money on them and their slow.
