Just an hour ago me and my daughter went to China Sea Buffet at Thousand Oaks just for to go. Please do not go there the staff on the grill station was very rude and when I called for the manager even the manager was rude too. Imagine, when I asked the lady if I can have a plastic bag which at that time she was at the cashier she told me " thats not my job" she was pissed at me when I asked her if she smile... she said she dnt want to smile. And when i was talking to the manager huh the manager sided on his staff. So, I said, they shld have at least a good costumer service. We will never go back to that restaurant again. Rude manager and staff. They will make you feel unwelcome to that restaurant. Made me very upset because I was with my 13 year old daughter and she heard and witnessed the rudeness of these people.

The food is good., my waiter was really good. But the Old Chinese lady at the grill is always so angry , so p off , I ask Her for 3 steaks for my 3 family members and She went on Her language blablabla. I wanted to jump over the counter and make Her tell mi Why are You so rude every time. I ask the cashier for the Manager and She said don't worry. She is always like that. So Mr Manager if You are reading this please talk to the night grill old lady. Maybe is time to retire Her or I will teach Her some Manners next time. This is America we respect our Costumers. You already lost one Restaurant on Wurzback Rd. Don't You ever wonder Why.

Below Standards

Just went to the China Sea Restaurant off 281 and Bitters. The buffets were not being serviced. The food was dry, tough, old, and very sparse. Nothing was being brought out to replenish the food. Told the cashier when we left and she acted stupid about it and din't say anything. Iv'e eaten at the China Sea off I10 and the food was very good. Will not be eating here again.

unwanted protien

Six months ago I discovered a ROACH walking casually on the underside of my plate and I was nowhere near the end of my meal until then and lo and behold I was suddenly full. I reported it to the manager by saying (after I paid for our meals because I was not looking for a free meal only a bug free one) " I just found a roach on my plate!" His response " Thank you." We did not go back until yesterday 7/21/2010 and that was whne my wife found a fly doing the breaststroke in her fried rice.

Reported it to the server who asked if we wanted a manager. We replied no and reported it to the greeter and the cashier. At no time did it seem anyone was concerned about the roach or the fly.

We did eat there twice a month and took out of town guests there but no more will I be there.

All Three

While I am a bigger fan of Thai food, I have eaten numerous times at all three locations. Best Fri, Sat. & Sun evening. Unending Opelio crab (Snow Crab) and peeled, deveined shrimp. Large variety of sushi as well. Besides tasting good, the preparation and safety processes are under Peter's watchful eye. Their location on Wurzbach put my former favorite out of business (My Sam). It's where you go if you are Asian.

Not worth it

We usually go the China Sea at the intersection of Bitters and Brookhollow (near Soup or Salad), but decided to use this location since it's actually closer to our home. It is a totally different atmosphere. The food is tasty enough, but the customers here were questionable. We were there with our one year old and had to be moved because a party next to us was cursing loudly. Most of the customers looked a little rough, and I generally felt unsafe in this environment. It also isn't as clean as the other location. If you can drive a little further, go to the China Sea off of Bitters and Brookhollow. Worth the few extra minutes.

GREAT BUFFET

Best Variety of any we've EVER seen! Sushi, Grill, Dessert, Salad, Chinese, American...couldn't ask for more, or fresher! VERY INEXPENSIVE. Even a to-go buffet. Best Chinese in San Antonio.
