I had lunch here. I had a cheese enchilada and rice a la cart. They were both very good. The salsa verde and the floor tortias were excellent. The lunch plates were priced a little high but they also had a lot of food. I would like to see a smaller portioned, lower priced lunch meal. I will go back.

This is a very good place to eat in San Antonio. The service is great and the food is excellent. As the name suggests, it is definitely a ""cafe""...not a nice restaurant to impress anyone.\r \r My only complaint is that they served NO red picante sauce. The only hot sauce they had was verde. It was spicy, but not flavorful (to my taste). I didn't realize how much I loved red tomato-based salsa. I'm usually easy to please, but it totally ruined my meal. If red picante sauce is not a requirement for you when eating mexican food, this place is wonderful. If I had known there was none, I would have brought my own and been satisfied. \r

Went there to eat...was surprised that this location was different from the others. It was clean and very nice. The food was excellent. The enchiladas were great.

This place is not on the Riverwalk with the overrated high priced restaurants. This is a simple, high quality place that has fresh food with an authentic taste. The staff is friendly and this is where the locals eat. It is a 5 minute walk from most Riverwalk hotels on St Mary's and simply is the best. It is only open for breakfast and lunch, unfortunately. We had chorizo w eggs, refried beans, carne guisada and fresh tortillas and coffee - wonderful!!

You can be in and out of Blanco Cafe within 30 minutes. The food is prepared well and tastes great. The breakfast tacos are excellent. The price for the lunch specials are superb and the quality of food (for what you pay) is damn excellent. Get there now.

Fastest service in Texas. They average about 30 seconds from the time you order o the time they have hot food on the table. Taste is great.

Expect friendly and very quick service from this downtown Mexican cafe. Expect to wait a bit if you arrive close to noon, but your lunch will be served shortly after you place the order. Prices are slightly higher than what you would expect, but not unreasonable. They have recently expanded to accomodate even larger crowds but seating can still be a challenge.

There are literally thousands of mexican food restaurants in San Antonio. I would only recommend a few -- Blanco Cafe is one of the top five mexican food restaurants in San Antonio.

Best breakfast, very reasonbly priced. Sunday mornings, crowded, but does not take long to find a table
