Ben Adams Precious Jewels

ktbraz, it's funny to me that you would write a review like this as Ben Adams is the ONLY jewelry store I will go to in San Antonio...Brad bends over backwards to help me every time i have been in that store...we bought my wife's wedding set there and numerous other pieces...I'm sorry you had the experience you did (if indeed that is how it all went down), but to say my experience has been the complete opposite of yours would be an understatement.

Went into this store today browsing at their selection of fine overpriced jewelry. While looking at rings I asked if they could clean my engagement ring. I thought this is a store that deals in high end jewelry I'm sure they would know how to handle my engagement ring... Much to my surprise they didn't and over buffed my ring to where detail where pave set diamonds were buffed away and one prong was buffed so much that it caused damage to it. I noticed this as soon as it was given back to me and immediately told the sales clerk. She looked at it and called Brad Adams over because she knew damage had been done to my ring. Brad the owner looked my ring over and said nothing was wrong with how they cleaned it and instead blamed my jeweler for not doing a good job custom making my ring... This answer seemed totally uncalled for considering my jeweler who I have done business with is a very well known and respected jeweler in the San Antonio area. Instead of trying to fix this problem Brad then said he could fix THEIR mistake for $80. By this time I was on the verge of tears and left the store. I went straight to my jeweler and showed him my ring. He confirmed the ring was over buffed and damaged was done to it by whom ever was cleaning it. He being a good businessman took my ring assured me not to worry he would fix THEIR mistake at no charge... I personally will NEVER step foot inside this store again.. The sales associates were nice however the owner Brad Adams has a horrible attitude with no back bone to take responsibility for a mistake that had been made at his business...
