Avant Salon Spa

After my first time there, they were able to correct the (three) colors I had in my hair from another salon into what I really was looking for, give me a beautiful cut, and my hair looked (and still looks) wonderful afterward. Everyone there seemed personable. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because their shelves were empty of product I probably would have bought. That could be for any number of reasons tho. I'm definitely going back! It really does make a difference when the colorist and person performing the cut seem to know what they're doing!

I have no clue what the world is coming to. Do businesses not have requirments anymore?? The place is dusty and the staff is ghetto. Not up to par with the Alamo Heights classy atmosphere. I know it's summer but "wife beaters" and beach flip flops say lazy and tacky. Not to mention the customer service does not exist! I was approached by a person named "Cat" and I guess the name says it all. Not only did she not know what to provide me with she kinda seemed too persistant and "catty". No one there seemed happy or even approachable. I deffinatly would not be returning there for products or services. I would rather goto the Institute and press my luck there...

I will NOT be returning to this salon. The floors are dirty and the shelves are full of dust!! Not to mention the satff is RUDE!! I was not helped by anyone! Everyone was sitting behind the counter on the computer! Not interested in customer service AT ALL! Whoever runs this place deffinatly does not know what they are doing and that shows in the maintenence of the salon and the everso ghetto atmosphere of the employees. I did get a menu and the prices are outrageous considering the LACK of QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I called to make an appointment for a specific date and whoever answered the phone is completely clueless. Do these receptionists have to train?? Clearly they do not understand customer service. I ended up coming in after my ridiculous phone call and had an amazing highlight, low light with Robyn. She is truly wonderful and basically makes this salon. Upon arrival I was greeted by tons of faces behind the computer and checked in, only seeming as if i was bothering them. I guess I can tolerate the rude attitudes for quality color. My five stars go to Robyn!

I had both hair color and cut and am extremely pleased with the quality of the colorist and stylist.

I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good salon with great people.

I had a color done by Robyn, my hair was wonderful when I left. I had had problems in the past with my hair coming out too "brassy" when I had it lightened and explained that to Robyn. She assured me that she could get my hair the color I wanted and she was right. I can't tell you how pleased I am.

The salon is new and is really nice. Everyone I encountered during my visit was very nice and professional.
