Legacy Apartments

More than half way into our one year lease (8 Months to be exact) they had a change in Leasing Managers. The new leasing manger attempted to change the leasing terms on our security deposit held, and original move in credits being amortized over the 13 month lease. She persistently wanted us to come into the office to re-sign papers and constantly ignored our requests to pre-review the documents prior to meeting. Then they tried adding $50 fines/fees to our account for paperwork they described as being required prior to move-in. I had copies of this same paperwork given to me by the original Leasing Manager at the time of move-in of which both parties had signed.



At the time of move-out they walked through the apartment and said it was the cleanest they had ever walked at a closing, and that little if anything needed to be done for the new tenant. When the security deposit came in the mail, it was short by $68.00 for cleaning. Of the $300.00 security deposit the lease retained $125.00 as non-refundable for cleaning, and then they withheld another $68.00 for more cleaning? When going to the complex to see the actual areas (5 days from getting the check) they refused to let me see the un-clean areas, and claimed they had already rented the unit.
