Comfortable Feeling

Dr. Dillman and staff are both professional and VERY caring. Not my favorite thing in the world to do (go to the dentist) but I would recommend this DDS office. Thanks for caring about my mouth health!

Happy Patient

Dr. Dillman and staff are very friendly, professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. I've been going for several years now. I lost dental insurance after I retired, but get very reasonable pricing for annual x-rays, bi-annual exams, and quarterly teeth cleaning. I highly recommend Dr. Dillman.

You'll be so happy you came here!

I love Dr. Dillman! He is my favorite dentist that I've ever been to. I'm removing my kids from their pediatric dentist to go to him. He is friendly, honest, upfront about costs as well as your options. I completely trust him and enjoy my visits with him! The staff is also very informative and friendly. You will feel like a welcomed friend and relaxed in their cozy place!

Excellent Dentist

I have been going to Dr. Dillman for over 30 years. He was an excellent dentist for my three children. Recently I went to Dr. Dillman with a hurt tooth. He realized it was beyond his ability and referred me to an endodontics. As much as I didn’t want to go to anyone else, I’m glad that I did. Dr. Dillman was able to recommend an excellent doctor. Dr. Dillman’s staff is friendly and efficient. It’s fun to go to an older house that has been transformed into a dentist office. it feels cozy, which is a good thing when you are going to the dentist.

Dr. Ray Gillman & Staff - A wonderful Cottonwood Heights resource...

I've been a loyal patient at Dr. Tooth going on three years now. Initially, they saved me from near dental disaster - after a too long break from regular dental care. Dr. Tooth provided me recession friendly fees, excellent staff, timely service and positive results. Scheduling is a pleasure; waiting room periods are almost non existent. The facility and staff are charming; the location is very convenient and parking is a breeze. "Dr. Ray", as I call him, is entertaining, professional and fun! Therefore, I will continue to patronize this neighborhood gem for a long time to come

good,gentle dentist

I just returned from my 1st visit to The Tooth Dr. I couldn't be happier. The staff was very friendly & it was truly a "gentle, pain-free" experience. Dr. Dillman was informative & patient with me because I am alittle nervous with dentistry. I will return soon to have a root canal performed & am confident it will be as pain-free as possible.PattiSandy, UT.

Extremely satisified!!

I went to the Tooth Doctor on short notice, basically just walked in with excruciating tooth pain. The staff was very friendly and courteous and quickly x-rayed the lower jaw and found it needed to be extracted plus the tooth next to it. I will be the first to admit that I have neglected my dental hygiene over the years and it served me right. I will keep them as my regular dental provider from now on, considering all they do. Not to mention a very convenient location, just a few blocks from where I live. They helped me with my high gag reflex with the bite wing Xrays. Who likes those? Not me!! But they did a simple trick to keep me from gagging and possibly losing my lunch. My wife and I will always go to them as well as our daughter when she comes of age from a dental perspective!! I would highly recommend this dental practice to anybody who is in need of any kind of dental attention. You can't go wrong with this dental provider. Highly professional, good humored, great staff!!!

Do NOT get the lady dentist

I gave this 2 stars because apparently Dr. Dillman is great. My husband has been very happy with him. HOWEVER, when we first went here we were seen by a lady dentist and I don't recall her name. We went in for a cleaning which for the most part went fine (except she kept pulling things out of my mouth to "show what she was getting" that's gross). I have a permanent retainer that came loose and my husband needed a root canal so we made another appointment to get these things done. I went in and she ended up cementing the retainer to every single tooth making it much harder to floss than when it was attatched to 2. I guess that's fine if it's what needs to be done, but she didn't even ask if that was OK. Here's the beginning of the real problems. Upon completion, I told her it felt like my teeth had been moved forward. She said it would just take some getting used to with all the extra glue. After my appointment it was my husbands turn. We only had a bit of dental coverage left for the year leaving a large portion out of pocket for us. We informed the girl at the front desk, she said no problem, since you are exsisting clients we can take half now & bill you the rest. OK great, he goes back. About 2 minutes later the attendant comes out and literally starts whispering to me about how this lady dentist is kinda crazy and she's back there telling my husband if he is only paying half, he only gets half a root canal done. Now that's crazy. So we don't have the full payment and the girl advises we talk to Dr. Dillman instead. The next week Dr. Dillman did my husbands root canal (in full). I can't leave out the fact that she in fact HAD pushed my teeth forward. I was in a lot of pain as my teeth moved towards an underbite. Now the "cement" job she did has come off of 3 of my teeth (this was less than 2 months ago, the part that had come loose in the first place was 17 years old.) I probably really need to be seen but after already paying 1,200 out of pocket and the dental coverage gone I guess I just have to live with it. Thanks a lot lady.

Everyone at this office is so kind and efficient! They have the least expensive prices I've seen. I had to have a root canal and it was completely painless. They helped me understand my financial options before they started! These guys are great! I definitely reccomend The Tooth Dr.

do not go here even if they offer free service

I went to this office after not having been to the dentist in a while since I have a fear of them. The dentist said that I needed a root canal and a cleaning so I agreed and they started the services. He was suppose to remove all of the nerves but I am not sure what he did but I ended up back at his office in so much pain the next day and he did some looking around, gave me some pain medication. Later that night I ended up in the emergency room, the DR there said that the back of my mouth was bruised, it has something with how the numbing med was done. I told him I never had any problems until I went to the dentist and he told me that they only do root canals if you are in pain or have extreme sensitivity. Later that weekend I ended up at another dentist office who packed medicine where the 'Tooth DR' had done work and asked where the original medicine pack had gone. I told him he never did one. I then returned to my childhood dentist office and they said that I was in bad need of a cleaning. I told her I had just had one and my insurance would not pay for another one and she called them herself to say that there was no way a cleaning had been done on my teeth. After experiencing a REAL cleaning from my dentist I know now the tooth DR only did a polishing. Beware and get a second option before you allow them to do work. This dentist was very impressed with the amount of money I was allowed for my dental plan and I know I never needed a root canal he only said I did so he could do work on something to get money. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY ALONE, GET A SECOND OPTION PLEASE.

I am so done with the Tooth Dr. Now I am being sued for monies that I do not owe

Do not trust anything that anyone in these offices tells you! I made a payment in Dec 2011 and in January they sent met to collections without even notifying me. Now it has gone to a lawyer who is sueing me for twice the amount of my remaining balance. The lawery advised me that they requested a full accounting of my account from the tooth dr and told them they had to have this in 30 days. The tooth dr never sent this to them so because of this I am going to be sued. I am hiring a lawyer and suing all of them and putting this on Get Gephart on channel 2 news. I am so done!

Very Disapointed in the billing and the insurance verification

I am livid. First of all in Sept 2008 when I thought of getting dentures the Tooth Dr checked my insurance and at that time my insurance would have paid for almost the whole procedure. I waited until June 2009 to get this done. In the mean time my insurance changed in January 2009. However The Tooth Dr on Redwood Rd failed to re-verify my insurance and did not tell me this. So I had the procedure done and after it was done the Tooth Dr told me that I would have to pay the whole bill - that my insurance would not pay for it. Then I made payments and most of them have never shown up on my statements. Then in January 2012 I get a collection letter from an Agency not only charging me for the amount left owing but with 40% interest and just to make matters worse the collection agency charged me another 100% + so now they say I owe over $1000 more than my original bill. I can only hope that The Tooth Dr makes this right and takes this off of collections - credits me for all my payments.

no morals at this dentist office. BEWARE

ray dillman messed up my teeth. promised to fix his mistakes then when I went in to have them fixed, he refused to fix it. Will make promises, and no follow through. Now I have to pay lots more to have it fixed by a reputable dentist. dont go here unless you want to pay twice. The care stops when he is paid.

The Tooth Doctor, great place to go.

Went to the dentist today, and Dr. Dillman and staff were wonderful. Asked me what I needed, didn't give me the run around and took care of me with no questions asked. Went in neverous as all get out and left with a smile on my face. Dr. Dillman is great and the proceedure was painless, thank goodness. I will be back. Great place to go. I am a puss when it comes to the dentist, but these guys made me feel comfortable and happy.
