I was given a womens jacket for christmas (that was ordered online) and it was a little too big. The day after christmas I decided to go to the salt lake store to see if they had a smaller size in stock which they did not. I waited for around 30 min for service on ordering a smaller size to be stocked in the store so that I could try it on before I swapped jackets. After much waiting they said they had it ordered and that it would be in store within a week. Well, its January 9 th and I have called them several times and the jacket has still not arrived. Everytime i called, the employees were short with me and would give me a quick response like they were in a hurray. My mother, while looking for the jacket before she ordered it online also said that when she was in the store and inquired about availability of smaller sized jackets, she too was given a short response, no online checking, no online ordering, was told that they could not even order one and was pretty much blown off. But my mother went home I have been in that store several times and each time the employees would give a blank stare like they just started working there and have no idea what they're doing. after having trouble with dealing with some of the employees there I call "The" Carhartt and asked if they could see if the store had actually ordered my jacket. The gentlemen I spoke with was very kind and helpful. He looked up the salt lake store and saw that there was NO record of them ordering my jacket and that if they had, there should be NO problem witht them getting it within a week! I have not met all the employees in that store, but the ones my mother and mI delt with provided bad service.
