Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Salisbury

Lack of professionalism (appearance, communication style, work ethic, knowledge of job), the cleaniness of the rooms for inpatient care was unacceptable, paint chipping from walls, equipment outdated, staff very unorganized, and inconsistent, staff unaware of patient care plan, poor communication with patient and family, left grandmother unsupervised to bath herself,(after suffering a stroke) returned hours later to collect basin of water that was left in her room.

As a Rehabilatation professional and family member I was embarassed when I walked into the patient rooms. My Mother wanted to remove my Grandmother immediately!!!



Not sure what happen to this place in the past 12 years... looks as if it is 50 years old.



JACO needs to make a visit and issue many pink slips for improvement or closure.



I have traveled to third world countries and have had much better experiences in the same settings. There is no reason why anyone (ecspecailly our elderly),should be subjeted to such condtions in The United States of America. The environment is no where near theraputic.
