Chiropractic Adjustments
Prior to your chiropractic adjustment, the physician performs examinations that give them neurological indications of what is physically happening within your body. These neurological indicators are then used to determine your treatment and treatment schedule. The doctors have studied many ways to treat patients. They use the information provided from the examinations to determine treatment is the most appropriate for YOU.
Nutritional Consultation
Occipital Fiber Nutrition, Dr. De Jarnette delineated an excellent distinction between nutritional therapy and vitaminology. Much of the nutritional information and techniques utilized today would fall under Dr. De Jarnette’s vitaminology category. Often chemical substances or combinations of nutritional ingredients are used to compensate for deficiencies. Theoretically based formulations of specific nutrients are claimed to have specific healing effects. At other times individual ingredients are used in high concentrations to stimulate a particular biochemical pathway. For example, Vitamin C is essential in certain steps of the body’s immune response; therefore, megadoses of Vitamin C may be used to stimulate an immune response. Some other nutritional therapies use products to augment or facilitate the body’s own natural healing process.
Subluxation
Certain conclusions were reached. First, from a structural/neurological perspective it is thought that fibromyalgia is likely associated with what is known as a Category II or a Category III subluxation complex, or a combination of these two dysfunctions. These chiropractic subluxation complexes require a SORSI-certified doctor to properly treat and manage care. Both involve serious structural alignment issues and neurological consequences.
Manipulation Therapy
A subluxation of the vertebral column impinging upon a nerve dependably relieved by spinal manipulation. Relief may be prompt, but recurrence may persist due to laxity of ligaments holding vertebrae in proper alignment. Atonicity of surrounding muscles may contribute to the inability of ligaments to maintain alignment. Expert chiropractic manipulation is indicated.
Chiropractic Neurology

Chiropractic Injury Treatment
Raised on the east coast, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1982. He participated in football and track in high school and football and rowing in college. He went on to train for the national rowing team following college. Dr. Pat graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1997 where he was President of the SOT® Club, Class President and Student Body President. He also received the Student Clinicians Award.
