I had a very blessed childhood that included many summer trips to the WONDERFUL St Louis Zoo! This zoo is best in the nation in my opinion. The zoo lights in the winter are spectacular, but there is nothing like a hot August day with an ice cream cone watching the penguins or the seals play!

You must check out the new polar bear exhibit. The Saint Louis Zoo has so much to offer a tourist or native.

Great zoo, with the best penguin exhibit I've seen (and I've seen several). It's free to get in with a few shows and experiences (e.g. touching manta rays) costing money.

St Louis has an amazing zoo! I would say it is one of the best zoos around and the crazy part is it is free for anyone to visit. The employees do a very good job keeping the place look nice and seem to work very well with the animals. There are a few things you have to pay for, but it is well worth it.

This zoo is amazing!!! I had a blast walking around and seeing so many different types of animals and their is something for everyone from big cats to snakes to monkeys. Definately worth it if your in St. Louis. The sea lion show was entertaining and worth the $4 to see it.

This zoo is one of the best in the nation. The best part is its free. Yes you have to pay for parking but $10 to pay for parking for a carload of people is much better then $10 per person. I would much rather pay for parking then pay admission per person. Can't wait to visit again and see all the new attractions.

Fantastic for Free

Where else can you find (outside of Lincoln Park in Chicago) a zoo that's free and premiers some of the most exotic and interesting animals in the world. This is a must for anyone visiting St. Louis, especially on a budget. If it's winter, please make sure to find the $5 per person to experience Zoo Lights!

Great Zoo AND It's FREE

St. Louis truly has a fantastic zoo. The elephants have a terrific home - very spacious and nicely landscaped. The ape's home is wonderful. Great place to see animals in habitats similar to their homes. And, to top it off...it's FREE!!!
