Best Place to shop for RC, Railroad, and plastic model kits. Second home to me!

All sales Tactics, zero knowledge. I asked very basic questions and they just kept pointing out what I should buy rather than guiding me in the right direction.

drove from Illinois to shop here. heard it was a top notch hobby shop. it was. excellent service, very knowledgeable staff, good priced. well worth the drive. will be back soon.

I have dealt with MTH off and on for the past several years. I have never regretted returning or making any purchases. Most recently I have become re-involved with RC Planes. During my re-introduction, MTH has always provided solid, reliable advice which consisted of a combintion of older and newer technology and products based on which was most appropriate. Additionally, the advice provided appeared to be what was best for me, and not driven by them simply trying to make a sale. In several cases, their recommendations would result in a cheaper option than I was originally considering, or in a few cases, resulted in a solution that would not even require a purchase. I would have no reservation about recommending someone to shop at MTH. Based on the additional support and help provided, I would incourage someone to shop at MTH over shopping on-line.

Great people...have known owner many years. If you are looking for cheap...don't go here. But, if you want quality product and service and are willing to pay what it's worth then MTH is the place to go.

These guys are all smiles and helpfulness, until you come back with a problem.



I bought a rather expensive RC Helicopter from them, and after unboxing it, found that one of the gears were stripped. I boxed it back up, and drove it back to Mark Twain.



Keep in mind that I didn't want a refund, only an exchange for a working unit.



Not in this life.



They weren't exchanging anything. Their excuse? "It's been flown.". Well.. duh... I had to take it out of the box and power it up to know that it was broke.



Not in a million years. No exchange. No refund. No nothing. We'll be glad to sell you some parts if you want to fix it YOURSELF.



Don't waist your time or money here. No service what-so-ever after the sale.



I'm contacting the Missouri Attorney General, because Missouri law says you HAVE to issue me a refund if I have a receipt and I'm under 30 days. So... enjoy talking to him about it.



All others... BEWARE.

My family has been shopping here for several years now. They have a nice variety of hobby items including r/c stuff, models, trains, and other stuff. Lots of products for each department. Staff is generally very nice and helpful. Not the cheapest prices, but the slightly higher prices are worth having a local store to run in and get the parts you need instead of having to wait for an online order shipping to you.
