Flood InsuranceFlood insurance covers losses to your property caused by flooding. From structural and mechanical damage to flood debris clean-up and floor surfaces (like carpeting and tile), your investment is protected by a flood insurance policy, something that your homeowners policy does not offer.
Earthquake InsuranceIf you live in an area prone to these disasters, you will need to purchase separate flood and earthquake policies. Flood insurance is available through FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (http://www.fema.gov/nfip/). Both flood and earthquake insurance can be purchased through your insurance agent.
Health and Life
Life InsuranceMany financial experts consider life insurance to be the cornerstone of sound financial planning. It can be an important tool in the following situations...
Health InsuranceDisability income insurance, which complements health insurance, can replace lost income. Forty-three percent of all people age 40 will have a long-term (lasting 90 days or more) disability event by age 65.
Disability InsuranceBOPs do NOT cover professional liability, auto insurance, worker's compensation or health and disability insurance. You'll need separate insurance policies to cover professional services, vehicles and your employees.
Long Term Care
Business InsuranceInsurance companies selling business insurance offer policies that combine protection from all major property and liability risks in one package. (They also sell coverages separately.) One package purchased by small and mid-sized businesses is the business owners policy (BOP).
Commercial Property Insurance
Workers Compensation InsuranceEmployers are legally obligated to take reasonable care to assure that their workplaces are safe. Nevertheless, accidents happen. When they do, workers compensation insurance provides coverage.
Commercial Liability InsuranceUmbrella Liability Insurance – A big difference between property and liability risks is that you can put a value on the property you have at risk, but there is no way to predict the amount of damages you could be required to pay as the result of a catastrophic accident. If, for example, you were found liable in a school bus accident that injured children, the damages could be in the millions of dollars.
Professional Liability InsuranceProfessional liability insurance (PLI), also called professional indemnity insurance (PII), is a form of liability insurance that helps protect professional advice and service providing individuals and companies from bearing the full cost of defending against a negligence claim made by a client, and damages awarded in such a civil lawsuit.
Builders Risk InsuranceGenerally, a Builder or Contractor needs to carry a Bond (as mandated by the state), a General Liability policy to cover the operations, and possibly Builders Risk for New and/or remodel projects as well as Workers Comp for any of their employees.
Restaurant InsuranceWhether your food service business is a café, deli, diner or gourmet restaurant all food service businesses have certain risks in common.
Liability InsurancePersonal umbrella insurance provides coverage beyond your homeowner or auto policy by adding an extra layer of liability coverage. Coverage is provided in amounts of $1,000,000 increments. Umbrella insurance also covers situations that may not be covered by another policy such as slander or libel.
Auto InsuranceAuto insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident. It is a contract between you and the insurance company. You agree to pay the premium and the insurance company agrees to pay your losses as defined in your policy.
