West Coast Infectious Disease

i have been hiv positive for most of my life and have seen no less than at least a dozen or 2dozen doctors. i dont need to teel you about the 15 min rule they deny it some times bend it for a few ,but every time i have gone to see doc phillips i have taken much longer and im basicly healthy. but he and his staff treat my problems as there own and take as much time as i need and then some he makes you feel like a person nota number or body,i have had a few bad experiances with arnps as far as there limits as to what they can do etc... and things get lost in translation not in this office you will never be seen by a arnp only by first med-tech or nurse for vitals current med list BUT all your concerns you may air to the nurse or tect but rest assured the doc wants to here it fully from you. not that the tech may explain things to you the doc is still fully in control and the nurses and techs are some of the most compasinet careing,and understanding people i have ever met.i felt so bad the other day the doc called in something that wasnt covered by my insurance and he called me back my doc not a serv my actuall doctor and called somthing in that was covered. and to top it off the doctor s nurse called me to make sure i was alright as it turned out the doctor called me in something additional. i relize doctors are over worked esep. HIV docs but if this doctors office can provide such outstanding service maybe they need to take some lessons from my doc my only regret is that partner didnt make it long enough to see this doc i fully believe hed be alive today if he just could have hung on but ten years is a bit much to ask for. and yes doc phillips is a ride by bus 2 buses luckly i get a ride most of time but the trip IS WELL WORTH IT,im not putting any doctor down its just ive had the fortune to live long with this disease and see many good doctors but there is just no comparison to doctor and his staff God bless you all
