Old San Juan

La comida, el lugar, la atencion de IRIS fue excelente. Lo recomiendo un 100%.

While speaking to a friend about the lack of good latin restaurants in the Clifton area, along comes Old San Juan. I happen to walk in around the same time as the pernil (roast pork) was being pulled from the oven and the aroma alone made my mouth water. Chef Ellis does not disappoint. With his use of fresh sofrito and authentic island flavors he brings a true taste of Puerto Rico to NJ. The pernil is moist and flavorful. Items such as the alcapurrias and pastelon brought back memories of my grandmothers kitchen. YUMMY!!!!



Because everything is made to order waiting is a must but well worth it.



While alcohol is not served they do have great juices. I had the passion fruit and was tempted to ask if they have fruits growing in the back, defitnetly not your frozen concentrate.



The only dissapointment we had was in the service itself. Having to get up to get your own water after asking and waiting for 15 mnts not cool. Staff not friendly nor appeared interested in their jobs.
