KGH specializes in the evaluation, analysis, and repair of masonry claddings, curtain walls, windows and waterproofing membrane systems for high-rise commercial and residential properties. KGH provides building consulting services to owners, managers, architects, law firms, developers, governmental agencies, and investment associations on building enclosure systems. KGH has also developed repair programs for curtain wall systems to resist water infiltration, as well as to improve critical drainage systems. In addition, KGH has developed and administered window replacement programs, repair programs for parking garage structures, and plaza decks. Kellermeyer Godfryt Hart, P.C. was established in 1985 to provide architectural and structural consulting services to building owners and managers, architects, law firms, developers, governmental agencies, and investment associations. The primary emphasis and expertise of the firm is the evaluation, analysis, and repair of building enclosure systems. Areas of specialization include the investigation, repair, and restoration of building facades, the evaluation and retrofit of waterproofing membranes including both roofing and plaza systems, and the investigation, analysis, and repair of distressed parking garages. The broad range of experience and expertise available through the KGH professional staff uniquely qualifies the firm to perform thorough surveys and evaluations of architectural and structural components and systems. This expertise is particularly beneficial to both building owners and managers when complying with local facade ordinances, which mandate the periodic inspection and maintenance of exterior wall constructions. KGH principals, K.B. Kellermeyer, Ernest Hart, Howard Lafin, and James Erickson are dedicated to excellence in quality of work product, and take pride in the fine working relationship the firm maintains with its clients. KGH has adopted a philosophy of preserving and maintaining the quality of professional services, and strive to ensure that those services are rendered to their clients on a timely and personal basis. This philosophy has resulted in a hands-on approach to every project, with the direct involvement of at least one of the four principals. KGH truly values the long-term relationship it has developed and maintained with many of its clients, some of which date back in excess of fifteen years. Over the years, KGH has been involved with evaluation and repair projects at a number of Chicago?s more notable and historic buildings, including the Merchandise Mart, the John Hancock Center, the University Club, and the McGraw-Hill Building, as well as the DePaul Center, the Oriental Theater, Water Tower Place, Sandburg Village, and the Allerton Hotel.
