Compared to other fitness clubs, i feel that this one offers so much more for the price. I love this location for my kids needs because of the fun staff who run the kids club and the beach entry pool. Tons of equipment and you don't have to wait. I feel that the equipment is newer here compared to other locations. The downsides are that you have to pay for some of the fitness classes but those classes tend to be small scale one on one training vs, a huge class. I've been a member here for 15 years and still love it!

This has been my gym for 13+ years! Love it here. The staff is so friendly, awesome amenities and my kids really love using the pool in the summer. Some of my favorite group exercise classes are Piyo, Yoga, Spin, GST, etc. Great family-friendly environment!

It's a gym. Nice equipment with a good layout. They seem to have a good selection of classes.
They have a great pool area with separate kids play area.
Once you have a membership don't expect much from the staff.

This place is awesome!!!! I like to bring my kids here. Kids have a big space to have fun. The people, who works here are great, and also they play games with the children such as basketball, etc.

We love so much about Cal Fit. We have 3 boys and they are always comfortable going to the kids club and playing on the rock wall and going for a swim! The equipment and classes are also a big hit!

My whole family loves to come here! The kids got certified so they love to use the treadmills and equipment, and all of us love the pool. Don't forget to hit the rock climbing wall as well!

I have been a member for years. Club is very nice but they have drastically cut their water aerobics program over the past year or so... from a hugely popular, daily program, to a shell of it's former self. Hopefully, the program will come back... MANY people enjoy it!

I agree with this review 100%....

I agree with this review 100%. Dave is a piece of work, he does not care about anything except for you to sign on the dotted line. He will feed you with so much BS to try and get you to sign up. This gym and one at Roseville have the same General Manager. I have spoke to him at least 6 times about all of the gym bags laying all around the floor. There are lockers there and members just leave their bags laying everywhere. I am constantly moving other peoples bags, or having to step over them all of time. I then went to Scott Hollis who is the next level up boss. I have spoken to him at least 4 different times. They agreed to put signs up, thats right it is because of me that you see the signs about gym bags not allowed on the floor, but they wont enforce them. So just imagine if nobody enforced the speed limit on the freeway, well there are signs up so we dont understand why people are not following the rules. I see chalk being used, i see members working out with no shoes on, or in flip flops, all things that are listed in the membership rules that are not allowed. Just like it says GYM BAGS are not allowed on the floor. I am from Arizona and I loved Lifetime Fitness. When I told Scott that i used to belong to them, he said that yes they are a great gym and that CFF goal is to be like them. I told him they have a long way to go. I never see anyone at CFF walking through putting weights away, never. The only time you see someone walking through is when they are trying to recruit a new member, and then they walk right around the bags on the floor, people with no shoes on, or equipment just laying around. Unfortunately CFF really has no competition here, and they know it, and that is what is boils down to. All they care about is getting your money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM AT ALL! I cant wait to move and get out of this area.

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED! Me and...

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED! Me and my friend signed up with DAVE at Rocklin, CA and told us that we have 30 days to cancel our membership! He lied to us, now we are trapped with one year contact or pay cancellation fee of $275 per person, in addition to $100 per person we paid for down-payment. Dave also set us up with “FREE” personal training. We waited for 45 minutes for Chris (personal training) and he didn’t show up nor set-up another date for us. Please IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GYM, do not sign-up with them, over price and DOES NOT APPRECIATE CUSTOMERS.

I love-love-love the classes @ CFF. The childcare is great, the ladies even bottle fed my twins when they were infants. I go to different locations depending on what I am doing. I love the Elk Grove pool. I just book my twins 2nd bday party there and I am excited. For the price (food and cake included) it is a great bargain. Will check back in after party but I am sure it will be a blast!

Not Great

Not the best place I have been, but not the worst. The exercise programs are fun, but the fees are too much.

Had a false flyer at Sierra College

There was a flyer at Sierra College advertising student membership for $14.99 a month. I called the phone number on the flyer, talked to Rick Carlson on the phone. I was told to come in person. When I arrived at their location, I spoke with Rick Carlson in person, and they could not give me a student membership for 14.99 a month except tell me that it was a false ad. Well how come Rick Carlson could not tell me that on the phone? It would of saved me a long distance trip from Rocklin to McClellan. Only thing Rick could do is give me a month for free and enroll me and start my membership for free. When I saw that flyer posted by Rick Carlson for $14.99 a month, I thought I had a good bargain, but it was false. I kept tryping to get Mr. Carlson to just give me a membership for that price of $14.99 since I drove all the way from Rocklin to McClellan. I was hoping that I could use both Rocklin locations for that price of $14.99. Take your business somewhere else if you can.

First off i apologize on behalf of california family fitness for the trouble you had john. The adds that were displayed at Sierra college were false adds and were not put up by anyone representing CFF. We do run specials but nothing this low. If anyone is interested in checking out the club and would like a free guess pass they can call the Rocklin location on sunset and park and ask for Brandon Gill. 435-2141
