Riverside Juvenile Hall is a part of the Riverside County Probation Department, which is a criminal justice agency. The department employs more than 1,100 individuals. It works in collaboration with various mental health centers, schools, law enforcement firms, and public and private social services agencies. The department conducts investigations on adult and juvenile criminal offenders. It offers supervision, early intervention and treatment services. The Riverside County Probation Department also overseas various drug, gang, sex and computer crimes. It conducts institutional detention and treatment programs for men and women. The department administers the Community Speaker s Program, as well as maintains the Juvenile Justice Delinquency and Prevention Commission.
