Provided by DexKnowsVery close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Dreams Park, which is where I took my grandson. Close to good eats, Shane the host sent us to a great place on the lake and said we would not be disappointed, It was wonderful outside next to the lake. He was right, we had a wonderful time. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. They kept the grounds immaculate, and our room was very nice! We couldn't have asked for anything nicer.

Provided by DexKnowsWe stayed at the Lake House Hotel when visiting Cooperstown, NY. It is in a lovely location, North of Cooperstown and the lake is a short distance. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Wonderful place to go, beautiful surroundings. It is a little dated but that only makes it quaint. We would definitely stay there again and hopefully get to enjoy some time on the lake!!!

Provided by DexKnowsGreat clean hotel, close to Cooperstown, Nice location 10 minute drive to baseball hall. Easy highway access. Breakfast was great and staff was really nice. The Lake House was located within a short diving distance to the Hall of Fame. There are some restaurants nearby and we had a great time. The suite size room was good, especially when traveling with kids. We were able to pull out the sofa for another bed, and had a small fridge in the room for snacks. Over all very nice for the price and location.

Provided by DexKnowsOur recent trip to Cooperstown was made even more pleasant by our stay at the Lake House Hotel and Marina. Absolutely nothing more could be done to improve on our stay. Future overnight Cooperstown visits will include the Lake House Inn. As an experienced traveler I personally rate the Hotel as top shelf for small town lodgings.

Provided by DexKnowsMy family and I traveled to upstate NY for the snowmobiling. The NY snowmobilers blog recommends the Lake House in Richfield Springs for lodging since they can handle large groups and are located on a lake. This Inn also had the most professional and courteous staff I've ever encountered. The night time manager Christine was extremely friendly and responded to our every need with a smile and great service. The entire staff at the Inn saw that we had everything we ever asked for and more. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Provided by DexKnowsWe have been going to the Lake House for years. The first time we went, we fell in love with the hotel itself. It is so welcoming with the wonderful antiques, lighting, hardwood floors, clean rooms, great food and the very friendly staff. We always feel so welcome and that they are actually happy to see us. We are happy to see the outdoor activities during the summer, so many people enjoying the entertainment and the great outdoor fireplaces overlooking the lake! Whenever we want a special weekend away we go to the Lake House to relax and feel right at home!

Provided by DexKnowsCalled and ordered their carry out we were in our boat. The person who answered the phone was courteous and helpful. He made a number of suggestions. We chose a couple of the sandwich options. The food was ready for pick-up and nicely packaged. The price was very reasonable, and the food was quite tasty. I'd definitely return for an encore.

We stayed at the Lake House Hotel recently - and found it to be a great alternative to a typical hotel stay. The building has been updated considerably and has beautiful floors, woodwork and character. We found our room to be very nice and well appointed. The beds were like clouds! The bathroom new and clean. Our kids enjoyed exploring this big, beautiful building and also really liked having the common areas that were large enough for several people to congregate. The little town is unique and has shops to explore, too. We were close to the lake - a minute or two down the road - where the Lake House restaurant accommodated us well. The food was excellent - and the sunset reminded us of Key West - simply gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel - it was perfect for the needs of our family.

I stayed at the Lake House for three nights this August and it is indeed the best alternative to a hotel that I have found and I have traveled a lot personally and in my work. The room was homey and clean, the bed very comfortable and any problems were immediately fixed including the owner Chris Corrigan moving furniture to make the room more comfortable for me. I loved the sitting coffee area where you could meet other travelers to discuss your plans and learn about places to visit. I can not say enough good things about Chris...her efficiency and warm personality. I highly recommend The Lake House as a place to stay to truly enjoy the upper NY state hospitality and the view of the sunset over the lake with a good glass of wine.

We had a family gathering here - 42 people in all. It was a great place to meet. The kids loved running around exploring the lake, woods, etc. My mom organized everything and I know the proprietor was very patient with her in working out all the details. My cousin mailed his golf game - hula hoops and flags, we played golf on the lawn in front of the lake.
The resort is a little slice of heaven with great mountain views, lake views and great for star gazing you just can't replicate in town.
We had a week of memories here that will last us a life time.
Room Tip: The lawn by the lake was perfect for the kids to play.
